Gavin and he’s gonna wipe the floor with the Hillbilly

He’s got baggage galore. Previously married to Kimberly Guilfoyle, cheated on her with his best friend’s wife, can’t get his story straight on trans issues, turned CA cities into drug-infested homeless camps, in charge for multiple horrific fires, the list goes on. If that’s the best democrats can come up with, Vance is most likely to be our next president.

Did he really cheat with his best friend’s wife or is this one of MAGA rumors. Was it ever confirmed?

Yes, he did.
He is sleezy.
Voters in the US have no desire to make America California.

Sounds like you’re worried JD won’t cut it.

He did beat Walz on a debate.

Because Walz was a nice Midwestern dad during the debate. Gavin goes for the jugular with no qualms.

And this is what the Dems need.

As much as I love someone thoughtful and calm like Pete Buttigieg, Dems have to ditch “we go high when they go low” and find someone who isn’t afraid to get in the mud pit with the GOP.

They also need someone who was not part of the Biden administration. Someone who wasn’t sitting across from Biden (or kept from Biden, as the case was), and didn’t speak up to say that man was not capable of serving another four years.

You mean the fifth largest economy in the world?

Buddy, we should be so lucky after the current crop is done with our economy.

Gavin was quite literally friends with Charlie Kirk.

And tech people are moving *back* to California after they had left for Austin and Florida.

Alex Tourk was a campaign manager for Gavin Newsom whose resignation in 2007 stemmed from the revelation that Newsom had an affair with his wife, Ruby Rippey-Tourk. Tourk, a close friend and aide to Newsom, had overseen the mayor's first re-election campaign.

Love how JD is so uncharismatic he can’t even stay the topic of this thread!

With the current occupant of 6100, I think we can safely presume that voters DO NOT CARE.

Americans don’t really care who wins debates. Surprisingly, debate nerds are unlikeable.

An economy that Gavin has no clue how to manage. And, we want him to manage our nation's budget? Hell no.

It seems like just yesterday that Gov. Gavin Newsom and state legislators enacted a state budget that papered over a $20 billion gap between income and outgo while blaming President Donald Trump for their fiscal dilemma.

Trump, however, had nothing to do with what state officials have described as a “structural deficit,” meaning that spending encased in current law outstrips revenue expectations. Rather, it stems from what officialdom later acknowledged as a $165 billion error in revenue projections in 2022 that fueled Newsom’s boast of having a $97.5 billion surplus. That, in turn, resulted in a sharp increase in spending.

When the surplus was exposed as a phantom, the state was stuck with a chronic income/outgo gap that persists. To cover it this year, Newsom and legislators tapped emergency reserves, borrowed money from the state treasury’s special funds, postponed some spending and engaged in some accounting gimmickry.

Anonymous wrote:Vance isn't as weak as people assume. Tim Walz was supposed to be the affable, likable, and charismatic alternative to Vance. But JD Vance absolutely won their debate. It wasn't even close. Vance was polite, confident, and well-informed. I wouldn't underestimate him.

But a lot depends on who Democrats choose as their candidate. As we've seen in recent years, Democrats have lost the trust of the vast majority of Americans. Biden and progressives were a disaster for the Democratic brand. And a lot of it is based on some very core issues - soft on violent crime, chaotic public schools, encouraging millions of illegal migrants to undermine the wellbeing of the working class, the extremism of Covid school closures, and on and on. People don't trust Democrats.

And that's hard to overcome. If Republicans end up choosing someone like Rubio or even Haley, I don't see Democrats winning with the current list of names - especially Newsom, who is way too slick to win Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and other swing states. Trump may be a disaster. But Democrats are still in a world of trouble.

No neocon is going to win the ticket. Anyone who hung their hat on this presidency can no longer claim they're America first on the political right, and this is probably going to be a litmus test. Especially the ones were seen as more normal before joining the admin like Rubio and Haley. There's too much anger brewing in the populist right and if people don't see it yet, it's coming. Some people, many with fairly large platforms, on the right are calling out Epstein, Butler, Kirk, Patel, Israel, Ukraine, Argentina, etc., as well as things like the economy/inflation/soldiers not getting proper healthcare (as well as soldier suicides). Hegseth lost a portion of the military with his patronizing of senior command. Dems need to hit all of these points consistently and stay the eff away from social engineering issues. It literally means for the white middle-aged SJW Karens to stfu (i.e., the wine moms and the resistance grandmas). There's going to be an internal fight in the Republican party unless Libs give them a reason to find a common target. On the Dem side, need to find a non-politician outsider with little baggage that's independently wealthy and not from the left coast—basically someone who can't be typecast and has a real policy platform from the jump.

On the contrary.....

This thread is evidence that liberals are worried about Vance. Already trying to demean him..... We know how you operate.
