Sounds like.Trump! He's gonna win (Gavin). |
|
oP I agreed with your subject line during the 2024 race, watched all those videos of his awkward interactions with regular ppl and the contrast to walz. Many thought he would be a liability.
Unfortunately at this point most people are so bathed in partisan bubbles and misinformation that I think anyone could win. Apparently America is fine return all kinds of stuff I never thought possible. |
He has as much chance of becoming president as Harris and Pence did which is zero unless something happens to Trump during his VP term. |
His past is more respectable than Trumps’s or Vance. Im from CA abs we love him! |
He's a tool who hides behind his "beard."
|
What a dork! |
Were you not paying attention in 2016 and 2024? |

Vance isn't as weak as people assume. Tim Walz was supposed to be the affable, likable, and charismatic alternative to Vance. But JD Vance absolutely won their debate. It wasn't even close. Vance was polite, confident, and well-informed. I wouldn't underestimate him.
But a lot depends on who Democrats choose as their candidate. As we've seen in recent years, Democrats have lost the trust of the vast majority of Americans. Biden and progressives were a disaster for the Democratic brand. And a lot of it is based on some very core issues - soft on violent crime, chaotic public schools, encouraging millions of illegal migrants to undermine the wellbeing of the working class, the extremism of Covid school closures, and on and on. People don't trust Democrats. And that's hard to overcome. If Republicans end up choosing someone like Rubio or even Haley, I don't see Democrats winning with the current list of names - especially Newsom, who is way too slick to win Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and other swing states. Trump may be a disaster. But Democrats are still in a world of trouble. |
As a life-long Dem, I couldn’t agree more with this. |
Yep. On point analysis. |
Don’t forget ordering his constituents to stay at home while he dined at the French Laundry. |
Ah yes, forgot about that. They took the rims off at basketball courts and filled skateboard parks with sand to keep kids away from their friends, but fine for him and his friends to have their fancy dinners. |
Spanberger? |
His appearances with Joe Rogan and Theo Von, several of the most popular podcasters with millions of daily listeners, were well received and gained them many young voters. I swear the Democrats are so out of touch with normal people, their hubris and elitism is going to keep Republicans in power for decades. Love him or hate him, Vance is a good communicator who sounds authentic and relatable. “This guy is supposed to be weird? He is like the most down to earth normal guy” -37k likes “JD is the first political guest I’ve heard that understands humor. He’s just a regular dude who gets it.” -8K likes “ I had some preconceived notions about Vance that were completely put to rest after hearing him in a real conversation for 2 hours” -6K likes “I like how JD talks, no Ums, no hemming, no filibustering, just clear direct and to the point” -80K likes “This is the most coherent, straightforward I have ever seen from any politician. Simple language, no BS, no question dodging, no talking in circles” -23K likes “JD is amazing, not afraid to say when he doesn’t know something, doesn’t talk in circles. Very logical, very common sense guy. Definitely NOT how he was portrayed in the media.” “They labeled him as WEIRD but he’s like the most normal politician ever. I feel like I could have a real conversation with JD” -12k likes “I doubted JD but hearing him speak for two hours straight, he is very smart and likeable. He has my vote” 5K likes “I never heard JD speak until now but he is a straight shooter and smart as hell. He earned my respect.” -10K likes Democrats are wrong to underestimate his mass appeal. Calling him weird is not a winning strategy. |
