The ironic thing about colleges ignoring race and gender in admissions will mean the number of Asian women will probably increase--is that a MAGA goal??

PP. poster here. To be clear, meant to write the number of Asians and women will increase. To be clear, I have no personal issue with that. If they think getting rid of race and gender in admissions will increase opportunities for white men I think they will be disappointed.

I happen to know the UVA interim Pres and VP personally. They obviously can’t discuss the current situation but I have full faith in them, both morally and intellectually.

There is no single “VP” at UVa. There’s a Provost, a COO, and a bunch of VPs of different areas.

UVA DID NOT SIGN THE COMPACT. IT DID NOT BOW TO ANYONE. On a separate series of investigations into accusations of discrimination - in violation of the Supreme Court 2023 Fair Students Case - the DOJ agreed to PAUSE its investigation while UVA sorted out the DEI-related problems with discrimination in hiring and in admissions. THAT IS ALL. Learn to read before posting!.

"UVA's president shall certify under penalty of perjury each quarterly report as to the report's accuracy and UVA's full compliance with all the provisions in this Agreement."

How good are UVA's lawyers? Interim president probably signed the compact because he won't be on the hook for compliance.
