The Dickerson incinerator. It's a very unfortunate no for me to live near the Potomac River in that general area. If you want to go down a rabbit hole you can go back through the decades and everything that has gone on in this saga.

OP here. Holy shhhh.. thank you to you and the other PP who brought this to my attention... I would have never known otherwise!!
Aside from this problem that the county is still trying to "figure out," I read that Poolesville also has a water problem in the sense that their wells are drying up and even in town water is an issue.
Welp, I'd say those two things together would have me crossing it off our list.. sigh..
