Anyone from, previously live, or currently live in Poolesville, MD?
If so, can you get me the deets on how it is there? Safe? Family friendly? Quiet? Not too far out from basic services like grocery stores and doctors? I'm all ears! |
| It’s a lovely place to live as long as you don’t have to commute. Rush-hour on I-270 will make you regret ever being born. |
|
You have to drive for 20 minutes to Kentlands for basic retail service's.
In addition it doesn’t have a small charming town atmosphere. |
| I don’t live there but my dc goes to high school there. It seems like there’s a lot of building going on and the community is growing. They have various community events throughout the year. It feels like a safe place. |
| Family-friendly, and one of the top schools in Maryland (Poolesville HS). But not any swimming pools, despite the name. |
LOL. You should look up history before posting silly things like that. |
Quiet, yes Family Friendly, yes if you like open space and somewhat homogeneous racial composition Safe, yes Not too far out from basic services? well, it is somewhat far out. |
Somewhere out there John Poole is having a good laugh. |
| It has all the basic stuff like schools, grocery store, hardware store, banks, mcdonalds. |
No Super markets or 7-11 but there is CVS. |
| OP here. I appreciate all the comments! We value privacy and quiet and don't mind not having a large amount of amenities in the town or immediate surrounding areas. |
Harris Teeter is the closest grocery store. This is a nice pool. https://visitmontgomery.com/directory/sarah-e-auer-western-county-outdoor-pool/ Poolesville HS has a magnet program. It’s far from a lot of things. |
Whoa, whoa, whoa ! Hold on there Bucko. I don't see any mention of a Starbucks...just what are you trying to pull here ??? |
I don't think Poolesville population is Starbucks target customers. |
It’s also a 25 minute drive to the closest hospital, Germantown Holy Cross. |
