How are we living through such a dumb era?

“Instead of one visit where they pump the baby, you load it up with stuff,” he said. “Don’t let them pump your baby up with the largest pile of stuff you’ve ever seen in your life going into the delicate little body of a baby.”

He and RFK are nuts.

He says a lot of things but his actions don’t back up his words. You can say you love vaccines all you want, but when you kick scientists off of vaccine approval boards and substitute anti-vaccine stooges, it’s not a stretch to expect vaccine access to decrease.

At least Kennedy believes in what he is doing. He's a kook but it's not a right wing, evil power grab. CDC and FDA are not evil or even corrupt but there's been "over definitive" health recommendations put out for a long time when, in truth, they don't know enough to be so definitive. Covid was exhibit A for this. I followed the recs because it was the best we had, but they over sold their recs time and time again.

FDA has larger problems and too often are swayed by industry or US economic interests.

I don't think we should dig our heels in just because Kennedy will oversell the folate thing. There is some science behind it.

Are you thinking of sulforaphane? Thats an anti- inflammatory. Guess what causes inflammation? Autoimmune diseases.

I dont think ive heard Kennedy over sell it. He said helps some people. Never said cures all autism.
Maybe hes under- selling it. People are talking about their kids going from level 3 to 2, high functioning kids losing their diagnosis. Of course uou have to have the condition

How do rhe actions not match the words when he fast tracked the covid vaccine and said everyone should get it?

The "drug" is a vitamin that can't be patented. If it helps kids with autism what's the problem?
Oh, because everything done under this admin is bad by default. Of course.

That has nothing to do with Tylenol.

They already are spaced over time. Our pediatrician has said the "new" recommendations don't change what they've been doing at all.

You mean the one we can't get in most states without paying to get a prescription now?

This thought occurred to me as well when I heard this was coming. The harm of this garbage will be widespread.

First: "Trump called for a reexamination of a link between vaccines and autism, a theory that has been repeatedly debunked."

What "vaccine" for autism is being fast-tracked? There's a reason you don't now about such a vaccine. Vitamin b9 is not a vaccine. He irresponsibly claimed Tylenol is the cause and B9 is the cure. Both claims are not supported by scientific research.

Also, no change to the facts from his chat today.

So, yes, I'm really thinking about some people posting on this board.

How much suffering do you thinking is to raise a level 2, level 3 autistic child, not until they turn 18 but for the rest of your life? A child who screams in distress most of the day? A child who smears feces around the home? A child who hurts themselves? A child who hurts others? A child who will run off if you aren't EVER vigilant and end up a statistic in a pond? A child who cant say mama- ever?
Grow up.

You DO realize the AAP recommends MMR + no matter what your personal doctor is doing?

My kids are in college, so I'm not following it closely, but I do read the pediatrician's newsletter and it said whatever they are doing to the schedule, it didn't actually change anything.
