OP here. I got ahold of my neighbor… I think. She responded very vaguely to my text, which initially reassured me, but she’s still not home, I don’t think. I don’t know what to make of this.

Suggestion: in front of the window where the dog was, throw something that would get the dog riled up. Such as dog toy, large dog snacks, etc,

Then point a camera at that spot and review the footage. Hope to see the owner or pet sitter at some point.

What does that mean, she responded very vaguely?

Did it seem like her usual language structure in text messages, or did it seem off?

Former prosecutor who can’t help thinking she’s tied up somewhere being abused while somebody else is responding to her incoming texts pretending to be her.
