Paying more for a cleaner does nothing to avoid what you describe. I am sure like any service there are extremely high end cleaners that probably charge thousands and know how to clean your Tiffany silver, your Steinway, etc...but a cleaner that charges $70/hour isn't charging that because they are more highly skilled than the $40 cleaner, but just because enough people will pay that in a certain neighborhood.

PP. I used to work as a cleaner. If you pay more, you’ll get a more intelligent cleaner, and a higher chance that they’ll turn their brain on when working.

$40 an hour is more than a decent wage for a cleaner.

I think it’s crazy high. Should be $20 or less

Biweekly we pay $260 for our three bedroom house. Sometimes it’s one person, sometimes brings a helper, she/they work for approx 4 hours.
We’ve had this person coming for 15 years and have given her several raises. She’s utterly reliable, does good work, and is unphased by any strangeness that appears in the house

It can mean either one that’s why it’s annoying. Bimonthly is twice a month. Two times per week is as clear as you can get.

Also not clear is does the person pay $250 for each visit or $250 for the two “bi-weekly” visits.

This is exactly what we pay bi-weekly for similar house with 2 messy kids. 2 person crew takes about 2 hours. I think it’s a very good deal.

I’ll say it again, it takes very little skill to do the cleaning. You’re just dumb. It’s ok that it takes little to no skill. We need jobs like that too.

DP. Maybe some cleaning skills are easily learned, but it is still hard work, and cleaning well is a higher level of skill. But I guess you’re fine with paying $10 an hour to someone digging trenches because it’s “low skill”. Sorry but people like you are disgusting.

We pay $150 1x per week. 3200 sq ft. Takes about 4-5 hours..

I stopped cleaning my house during COVID and never went back to the weekly cleaning ladies.

It’s not a hard skill to learn and if I have questions on how to clean something I watch a YouTube video.

There’s a reason why most cleaning ladies are Hispanic immigrants who have little command of the English language.

I am an executive. I haven’t cleaned my own house since I started working. Why would I take the time to do that?
