She is an unproblematic celebrity with a wholesome backstory (she got famous by winning a talent competition, not making a naughty video.) Anonymous strangers on the internet feel sad that a bad thing has happened to a person who for the most part seems good and decent. It's not that complicated or weird.

Her children’s father died. I would expect any decent parent would be supporting their own children through that. I don’t get how she is a saint or dealing with this with grace and love or being ascribed all these wonderful words. She hated the man and made angry name calling songs about him. She wanted her kids and the public to hate him for taking alimony, child support, and a house that he was legally entitled to as many believe those are only for women and men are wrong to ever accept them. She wrote song lyrics saying that. I don’t see any grace at all.

She left her hit talk show and canceled concert dates to take care of him and their kids. She never explained why, probably because Brandon asked her not to talk about it. And the public was pretty irritated at her and directorate she was having a breakdown and/or using drugs. But really she was just trying to help and honor a dying man's wishes

How do you know this? That she was taking care of him and trying to help and honour his wishes? Where did you get that information from?

I feel sympathy for anyone whose co-parent passes away when their children are young, whether they are on good terms or bad terms with the co-parent.

It's obvious. In fact she kept silent while she took unusual/unexplained breaks from her show and she canceled an existing Las Vegas residency. A lot of people were guessing what was up with her. Not a single person guessed that the father of her children was dying. Had she said that, she'd have gotten a lot of understanding and sympathy.

Oh so you made it up. Thought so. Not disclosing an ex husband you hates medical condition doesn’t mean you helped care for him or honoured his wishes. Maybe they hadn’t even told her about it until the end. We don’t know any facts but making them up means nothing.

Clearly she had no warm feelings for him but I don’t think she hated him, at least not at this point in her life. I suspect he knew the end was near and he wanted to see his kids. Depending on how weak he looked or strength, she felt she need to be there for her kids. They probably didn’t even tell the kids until a few months ago.

She was singing F U about him a year after his diagnosis so I am pretty sure the hate was still there.

I feel sympathy for anyone whose co-parent passes away when their children are young, whether they are on good terms or bad terms with the co-parent.

I would feel bad if my adult child's father dies. Not because of my feelings toward his father, but because I care for my child.

weird that the thread KC hater can't see this - without a written note from BB, apparently. Kelly definitely took heat from media headlines and fans when she did not reveal that her kids' father was sick with cancer.

+1

And adding that folks remember her own father issues. Her dad was a shitty father and walked out. Review the song “because of you”. (She tried to Reconcile with him in 2019 shortly before his Death). I would imagine shes Got many emotions running from 1-how Brandon treated the family while alive 2- now for her children not having a father at all 3- her father passing after their strained history.
