She is an unproblematic celebrity with a wholesome backstory (she got famous by winning a talent competition, not making a naughty video.) Anonymous strangers on the internet feel sad that a bad thing has happened to a person who for the most part seems good and decent. It's not that complicated or weird.[/quote]

Her children’s father died. I would expect any decent parent would be supporting their own children through that. I don’t get how she is a saint or dealing with this with grace and love or being ascribed all these wonderful words. She hated the man and made angry name calling songs about him. She wanted her kids and the public to hate him for taking alimony, child support, and a house that he was legally entitled to as many believe those are only for women and men are wrong to ever accept them. She wrote song lyrics saying that. I don’t see any grace at all. [/quote]

She left her hit talk show and canceled concert dates to take care of him and their kids. She never explained why, probably because Brandon asked her not to talk about it. And the public was pretty irritated at her and directorate she was having a breakdown and/or using drugs. But really she was just trying to help and honor a dying man's wishes[/quote]
