My kid is on a black team and we have this tournament in our playmetrics as well as every game day club to club match for fall-no times, but which team we are playing and home/away. We also have a scrimmage scheduled for today.

Our manager said they have the tournament schedule for the whole year but said there were issues so we only know this one.

Herndon seems to have forgotten to find Tms for some of their teams and --since they rely on Tms to communicate-those parents have been given no information about anything! Its a really bad first impression for all the new families. I have never heard of a team without a manager after the season has started.

Not Herndon, but our managers have to load the rosters and mess around with the player cards, and deal with league and tournament registrations. How can you not have a team manager before the season starts?

My kid plays for VIVA, and we weren’t required to play in the tournament. I love our coach and our team, but agree it’s likely going to be a totally shit show. I assume it’s all FVU member teams playing.

I support the idea of the FVU feeder clubs playing each other, particularly at the younger ages and/or second/third teams playing each other. But that could be done as friendlies! We all live close enough to each other. The only reason to do it as a whole tournament is for someone to make money. Such a waste of a holiday weekend. Haven’t heard if my kids’ teams are playing in this but I really hope not.

The Herndon teams are required to play,
but not the Villareal teams? Thats wild.

Its just going to be Herndon teams playing each other and a few ViVa teams. They could set up friendlies for free...so why are teams paying $1000 for a "tournament"?
