Autopen Investigation of Biden

Agreed. Given the concern the GOP is expressing over Biden‘s ability to do his job, I’m sure they will be eager to assess whether Trump can do his.

Below are examples where former President Donald Trump appeared genuinely unaware of significant events, decisions, or policies due to his staff not informing him.

Pause on Military Aid Shipments to Ukraine (2025)
Trump was reportedly unaware of a decision to pause military aid shipments to Ukraine, which was ordered by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. According to reports, Hegseth made the decision without consulting or informing Trump, leading to Trump’s surprise when questioned about it. Trump later reversed the pause after learning of it, indicating he was not initially briefed by his staff.

Airstrikes on Houthi Rebels (2025)
Trump expressed ignorance about U.S. airstrikes on Houthi rebels, a significant military action during his administration. Sources suggest that his national security team, including key aides, did not brief him in advance, leaving him uninformed when the issue was raised publicly. His response, “I don’t know anything about it,” points to a lack of communication from his staff.

Staff Use of Messaging App for War Plans (2025)
Trump was unaware that his staff were using an unclassified messaging app to share sensitive military attack plans, as reported by The Atlantic. When questioned, he asked the reporter for details, indicating that his team had not informed him of this security breach. This suggests a failure by his staff to keep him in the loop on critical national security matters.

Senator Thom Tillis’s Opposition to Nominee Ed Martin (2025)
When asked about Senator Thom Tillis’s public opposition to Ed Martin, Trump’s nominee for U.S. Attorney for D.C., Trump responded, “I didn’t know that.” Tillis’s stance had been public for a day, but Trump’s staff apparently did not brief him on the senator’s position, leaving him uninformed about a key political development related to his own nominee.

And many many more, like Trump making snarky comments about being surprised that Jerome Powell ever got nominated to the Fed, completely forgetting that he himself was the one to appoint Jerome Powell.

And it's hilarious that Trump's base is out there making comments like "anything signed by Biden by Autopen is null and void" - Yeah um okay, so you are also saying that the 1500 J6ers pardoned by Trump are null and void because guess what - Trump used an Autopen to sign those pardons, so those are null and void, amirite?

And it would mean that Trump pardons and hundreds and hundreds of Trump Executive Orders and other documents are null and void, right, RIGHT?

Sorry MAGA - but the answer is either all or none. If you want to say Biden's autopen documents are null and void then so too are Trump's

It should start with the person currently serving as President

I'm sure you're aware the issue here isn't mere use of an autopen, but rather misuse of an autopen to misrepresent the decisions of an unelected cabal as those of an impaired president.

“Unelected cabal” 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

It’s called a cabinet, and advisors. Trump has them too. Take off the tinfoil hat.

At least Biden still had enough brain function to know he wasn't capable of performing this job 24/7 and therefore he turned over control to those with fully functioning brains. Trump's ego is too big for him to relinquish any power.

He should not have remained as president if he needed to turn over duties to unelected officials.
Things like pardons are ONLY to be done by the president. If someone else, say Jeff Zients, was making decisions about exactly who was to receive pardons, that is illegal.

You do realize, I hope, that Trump issued a blanket pardon for about 1500 Jan. 6 defendants BECAUSE he couldn't be bothered to learn the details of each case. So while he was aware he issued the blanket pardon, it's not as if he carefully considered each and every case like a normal president would. He signed one executive order granting a blanket pardon, even though some cases were more serious than others. At minimum, he should have not pardoned anyone who caused bodily harm to an LEO. But he did.

So spare me any comparisons to Biden on the issue of pardons.

But Trump made that decision, you said so yourself. The American people have no idea who made Biden’s decisions. That is the problem.

The people who believe that Biden did not make his own decisions are those that consume RW media. Biden had slowed down in his last year in office, mentally and physically, but that doesn't mean that he didn't know what he was doing. I actually heard him speak at the WH in December and while he was longwinded and spoke with a faint voice, he knew what he was saying. He shouldn't have run for office a second time, but not because he was out of it and didn't know what he was doing, but because he lacked the stamina for one of the hardest jobs in the world.

This is when I knew he was totally out of it.
He didn't know what he was doing. Plain and simple.

Speaker Mike Johnson confronted Joe Biden about his decision to halt LNG exports to Europe—only to find that Biden had no idea he had done so.

For four years, the U.S. has effectively been without a president.

According to Johnson, Biden was completely unaware of an executive order he had signed.

After battling Biden's staff for nine weeks just to secure a meeting, Johnson finally got his chance—only to be "ambushed" by Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, and Hakeem Jeffries upon arrival.

Biden, seemingly confused by the situation, asked the others to leave so he could speak privately with Johnson.

He had no clue what he had signed.

Somebody better rescue us from Trump, then, because Biden is a complete intellectual specimen compared to what we have in the White House right now.

Digital signatures are not the same as auto pen. Digital signatures are the most secure form of signatures.

This is not a technological problem. Do not fall for that shiny object.

Pardons are supposed to be granted by the President and he must know the details of who he is pardoning and what he is pardoning them for. Pardons are not supposed to be granted by the president's staff.

That's what was going on. Unelected staff like Anita Dunn and Neera were writing and granting pardons via the autopen machine. That's why everyone is taking the fifth.

It's not supposed to be an automated process or signature. It's granting a pardon by exception, not as a rule.

So Trump knew the details of all the J6 cases? Doubtful. And why does Trump have a pardon czar if the “pardons are not supposed to be granted by the president's staff”?

For the perpetually stupid, Trump is presented with a document with the person's name and the offenses they've been found guilty of. ALL the offenses are listed on that document by agreement of the pardoner and pardonee, or else they can be prosecuted for offenses not listed on that document later on.

The president then physically signs that document as a pardon. No pardons by Trump have been signed by autopen. The documents in the federal register are not pardons.

Then I guess all of Trump's actions should be investigated as well

O'DONNELL: Why did you pardon Changpeng Zhao?

TRUMP: Are you ready? I don't know who he is

O'DONNELL: His crypto exchange Binance helped facilitate a $2b purchase of World Liberty Financial's stablecoin. And they you pardoned him.

He did most of the time. Trump is knocking on that same door with his aging brain. I'm still shocked out how by how many of my fellow Americans were duped into electing those two clowns but I still love each and every one of you. We all make mistakes but we must learn from these mistakes and do better in the future.

So I’m not sure if you knew this considering you are American but at one point Biden and Trump were our ONLY choices.

After watching the whole interview, I don't know who is actually running the country. I don't think we know who is making the decisions and what he is being told.

Jan 21 2029: There is no precedent in American History for a President to pardon co-conspirators in his own treasonous crime. Trump's insurrection pardons are null and void, and Trump is to be imprisoned alongside his co-conspirators.

CBS edited it (something that Trump sued them for when they did that with Harris’s interview) and only aired half of it. Apparently the whole thing is much worse.

It's Miller and Vout. This is very widely reported for months.
