I'm sure you're aware the issue here isn't mere use of an autopen, but rather misuse of an autopen to misrepresent the decisions of an unelected cabal as those of an impaired president.

“Unelected cabal” 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

It’s called a cabinet, and advisors. Trump has them too. Take off the tinfoil hat.

At least Biden still had enough brain function to know he wasn't capable of performing this job 24/7 and therefore he turned over control to those with fully functioning brains. Trump's ego is too big for him to relinquish any power.

No. Trump's gang do whatever they want, as long as they give Trump his 10% of the cut and debase themselves to glorify him with absurd compliments like "you saved 200million American lives".

This is so stupid
If the worst they can find to investigate is using auto pen, it's a true witch hunt to deflect from the head MAGA A$$hole trump.

It's so dumb to focus on this because Trump used the autopen for the J6ers. He even told Fox News that he did not review each J6 case for pardon because "It would be very, very cumbersome to go and look - you know how many people we're talking about? 1,500 people."

https://www.foxnews.com/video/6367536545112

He live signed 26 EOs that day and the pardons were autopen signatures.

Look, both Biden and Trump are old af and neither should be president, but I'd put my money on Biden in a cognitive test. I say this as someone who has a parent with dementia who sees some early signs in Trump. Especially his increased word salads. Yes, he's always spoken in circles but now he's making zero sense at almost every presser he gives.

Well, I honestly wouldn't put my money on either of them competing in a cognitive test. I think a large majority of Americans have learned their lesson regarding how the POTUS job is too important and demanding to trust elderly people with a four year term. That's not an insult to old people. I'm old too. It just is what it is.

A US President pardoning hundreds of people who took part in the forceful breach of security at our US Capitol after they were caught in the act red-handed with clear video and picture evidence is the second most disgraceful act a POTUS has committed just behind the same POTUS refusing to answer the phone for three hours while the security breach was happening and our most prominent lawmakers were being chased to the basement of our Capitol Building (sorry Trump, a couple of tweets doesn't excuse your dereliction of duty in that moment). A president smoking pot, snorting coke, or committing adulterous sex acts in The White House are less disgraceful deeds and less harmful to the country than a Commander-in-Chief refusing to do their primary job in such a moment. I truly believe 95% of the MAGA crowd will eventually come to agree with this after the dust has settled from the Trump era in politics.

LOL!

Lead investigator into Biden's use of an autopen signed letters with a digital signature
House Oversight Committee Chair Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., used a digital signature to send out letters and subpoena notices related to the Biden autopen investigation.

He should not have remained as president if he needed to turn over duties to unelected officials.
Things like pardons are ONLY to be done by the president. If someone else, say Jeff Zients, was making decisions about exactly who was to receive pardons, that is illegal.

You do realize, I hope, that Trump issued a blanket pardon for about 1500 Jan. 6 defendants BECAUSE he couldn't be bothered to learn the details of each case. So while he was aware he issued the blanket pardon, it's not as if he carefully considered each and every case like a normal president would. He signed one executive order granting a blanket pardon, even though some cases were more serious than others. At minimum, he should have not pardoned anyone who caused bodily harm to an LEO. But he did.

So spare me any comparisons to Biden on the issue of pardons.

But Trump made that decision, you said so yourself. The American people have no idea who made Biden’s decisions. That is the problem.

The people who believe that Biden did not make his own decisions are those that consume RW media. Biden had slowed down in his last year in office, mentally and physically, but that doesn't mean that he didn't know what he was doing. I actually heard him speak at the WH in December and while he was longwinded and spoke with a faint voice, he knew what he was saying. He shouldn't have run for office a second time, but not because he was out of it and didn't know what he was doing, but because he lacked the stamina for one of the hardest jobs in the world.

There's been no evidence of that. So far every account has Biden, his chief of staff and others meeting, going over the items of the moment, taking down action items, which may include direction to use the autopen if that's what's needed. Nothing about "unaware" or "misrepresented decisions" etc. There's been absolutely zero evidence of that.

And by the way, it's been hysterically funny to see MAGA running around saying "everything signed with an autopen is null and void!"

Following MAGA logic, it means every one of the 1600 J6 pardons and many other Trump actions are null and void.

Stop with your nonsense. There's been absolutely no credible evidence whatsoever presented by anyone including RW media that proves someone other than Biden made the decisions. All you and the RW pundits have is "but what if" which is in the same league as "what if aliens built the pyramids."

Why why why does Biden pipe up about the auto pen in a news cycle where Trump is on the defensive about Epstein???

This is like an Onion article 😵‍💫 auto pen vs Epstein … hmmm really people. It’s a freaking joke—we are the laughingstock of the world—add in the FIFA trophy and Trump having to be pushed offstage.
