Nah, online is not really the same as actual school. In fact, it will make situation worse.

Best option for MCPS is to have some central hubs in high FARMS area and allow anyone who want sto attend Churchill and Whitman like what we have for magnet. Churchill and Whitman really use some economic diversity.

Let's say put 10-15% of seats. This way no one is getting forced bussing.

but then what would you do with the rest of option 3? it has a ton of forced busing, with long bus rides.

My comment for magnet like bus for FARMS kids to atten Whitman and Churchill is not about option 3. It was a general idea in any option. least cost and most benefit for all parties and no one is getting forced to take that option.

Great way to add economic diversity to Whitman and Churchill.

Don’t you creat a privacy issue for the only FARMS students who bus to Whitman or Churchill?

Oh why not just pay kids enough that they are no longer FARMS?

How would parents without cars (there are many) get to afterschool activities in the distant school?

Pretty sure FARMS stays is protected under FERPA. If they’re the only kids on the bus, won’t everyone know they are on FARMS?

All non farms parents would be forced to contribute to a pool to buy cars for those parents.

It’s not like they are the only ones on buses since other kids ride buses to Whitman.

Yah, that's a good point. Problem is if you allow anyone to take a bus then pretty much it will be non-FARMS kids in the bus. I don't have any solution for that.
