How do you think kids will get there who are farms. Be real. And, that would not work socially. Use the money to enhance the dcc schools.

no you have to integrate the schools. social integration (if kids from different neighborhoods mix) has no bearing on this process. the schools have to have equal percentages of FARMS kids.

MCPS should provide door-to-door bus service.

That is poor goal.

Reminds of narrowing the ahchievement gap goal by MCPS(horrible goal), goal should have been to elevate all kids. Even if everyone went up by 10% with same achievement gap, it will be a fantastic outcome.

letting all kids go to any high school (by lottery) would equalize property values, too. there wouldn't be neighborhood schools any more, so no more property boosts related to schools.

that's the BOE's goal. Why do you support ongoing segregation?

Anyone who lives within a walking zone for a school should be moved to a school that is the furthest away from their school.

Given housing policies it's not really possible without a lot of bussing. But you can tweak some to improve the balance and help with some funding in places.

Or they could have a few busses that pick up at central locations, like for the magnet programs.

well then bus. bus everyone everywhere. equalize bus times so all kids ride for 60 minutes each morning and afternoon.
