Is WT still a nightmare to get in and out of?

I went to see Paul Simon in 2019 or 2021 and I thought that was his "farewell tour"

Have you seen what concert tix cost now? People are extorted for upwards of $500 to even $1,000+ for a show.

If you paid $60 for a steak would you not be furious if the restaurant served you hamburger helper?

When you pay $100+ to even $500+ for a concert the production should be flawless.

Ticket prices definitely add to the overall stress — and the entitlement.

This. Performers and venues and distributors all want to gauge people and then deliver a subpar product? This is what is going to happen.

We took our teen girls to the Eras Tour (excellent of course) and then I told them I’m done with live concerts, maybe forever. I’m not paying that kind of money for anyone else.

Eras tour ruined me for ever wanting to spend more than $100 on (almost) anyone else.

Well, as someone who fought to get tickets for Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo, I can tell you that plenty of people out there are still fighting to shell out over $150 per ticket. And I lost out on the Olivia Rodrigo tickets.

Sorry you missed seeing OR - Olivia Rodrigo (supporting act by Chapelle Roan just before she hit the big time) was fabulous. But we had to go to Canada to get tickets. Such wonderful energy - many teens/ tweens but also many parents and youngish couples.

Billie Eilish is also a wonderful live performer. Well worth the hundreds of dollars. She is creative, generous of herself and creates a positive upbeat crowd vibe despite her often melancholy tones..

Even lesser known bands such as Back Seat Lovers cost several hundred dollars at The Wharf venue in DC.

Bravo Paul Simon for performing into his eighties.

Agree with PPs that glitches and adapting to tech/stage problems is part of the messy fun and joy of live shows.

Due to costs, we only go to 1-2 live shows a year and savor the experiences.
