Have you seen what concert tix cost now? People are extorted for upwards of $500 to even $1,000+ for a show.

If you paid $60 for a steak would you not be furious if the restaurant served you hamburger helper?

When you pay $100+ to even $500+ for a concert the production should be flawless.

This is so silly. The sound issue was minor and resolved very quickly. Good god. Calm down.

Speaking of drama…”Extorted”?

DP here. They didn’t know that then. Also, haven’t they ever heard of a sound check? It’s so bush league. You can get away with it when tickets are $30 but they aren’t.

And I’m not sure that berating the ushers and screaming at “the sound guy” resolved the issue any faster. The reaction was an eleven…and ugly.

DH and I saw The Who at Jiffy Lube years ago - pre Covid- our first concert in many years (we were 48) and were surprised that the most obnoxious concert goers creating the biggest scenes were older than were were - like 65+. Literally falling down drunk, screaming, yelling at each other in the bathroom lines.

We were there too - it was so so uncomfortable. There are clearly dressed staff everywhere - there were so many non-shouty ways to solve the problem. I was wondering if the main offenders had had too much to drink.

You Can Call Me Al has a kinda geriatric twerk beat

It was rectified fairly quickly. The lawn couldn’t hear a thing and were justified in being upset.
Though it took a song to re-establish everybody’s equilibrium, Simon’s professionalism and his and the band’s talent prevailed.
There was no excuse for such an unprofessional technical mistake, but stuff happens!
Otherwise, technically and spiritually, the show was amazing.

Paul Simons crowd is old liberal hippy types and left wingers. They are a little emotionally fraught right now.

Try again the people around me were maga. Screaming Trump will fix this . He would not let this happen. They were absolutely sickening cursing at the staff etc.

I'll take things that never happened for $800, Alex. Get a grip.
