All the states people are leaving are blue and all the states people are moving to are red. I'm in Illinois and everyone who moves justifies it "lower taxes" and in the same breath "hope I can do my part to turn Kentucky blue." When have you ever seen Republicans moving into D areas and trying to shake things up? |
You are scary. He's President, not king. |
Your data is not accurate. There is a reason housing in FL and TX and rapidly decreasing! Tech folks who moved to Austin are going back to NY and CA. Things are going to get worse for states with natural disasters. I certainly don't want to be in a place with no FEMA and the state is poor. |
Are you familiar with who most J1 visa holders are? Because you don't see familiar with who most J1 visa holders are. You'll quickly understand their importance around mid-to-late July. |
So, there has been a long tradition of snowbirds relocating south, especially to FL, over decades. It's not surprising, therefore, that the baby boomer bulge would result in upticks of "blue state" relocations. IDK how these demographics will continue to play out, but am aware that there is a lot of inventory in the FL market at the moment, so clearly supply is outstripping demand. Less aware of the TX dynamics save anecdotal reports that blue state transplants are leaving. Can't imagine going forward that the housing insurance crisis in FL mixed with the DOGE-ing of FEMA will make the state attractive for buyers with choices. |
Well, the mom and pop businesses around college campuses, whether it is small liberal arts one to regional universities to R1 institutions, are going to feel the loss. International students are often more affluent than US students and willing to spend money at small shops, restaurants, etc. Will Trump provide them with subsidies as he did for the farmers? |
And they move to communities of white people who use the local populace as maids, gardeners, servants. We see and understand what you are doing. |
Plenty of people here legally have been detained. Most recently the daughter of a US navy vet who fathered her in the Philippines has been detained--at the age of 58 after being here for 48 years. The news article about this is confusing, because as the daughter of a US citizen she should be a citizen; what I read does not make clear whether her parentage was established at birth but she has her father's last name ( she's apparently been working on paperwork to establish citizenship forever). Think of South Africa and how the one drop rule turned some white people into blacks and removed them from their communities. |
In that case I am looking forward to a flood of young people from all over Red State America clamoring to move to Illinois, the "abortion haven" of the Midwest. The weather in the southern part is the same as Kentucky anyway. |
You think Hungary is a great place to be? |
Forgot to add--you think Hungary is not going to get even worse? |
One good example comes to mind. He recently moved into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave in DC. |
Maids and gardeners are usually locals. Is that a bad thing? Do immigrants not live in ethnic enclaves in the USA or throughout the world? That is a normal dynamic on which you are trying to assign sinister motives. |
Isn't that usually when residents go to work in hospitals and healthcare? I'm from a poorer area in the US, and most of the doctors were immigrants. |
