Why won’t DH read fiction?

I might read one fiction a year. Currently reading about the fault zones around Seattle. I like science and history. My reading allows me to take a break from people. I spend all day navigating people, it can be exhausting.

I’m a “women” and I think most fiction these days is terrible. It’s certainly not catered to me or much of my friend group.

I’m a librarian and read an enormous number of books each year. I avoid new, popular fiction like the plague - probably 70% of what I read is nonfiction. I don’t think your husband is weird or has some sort of issue for preferring nonfiction. Just let him read what he wants while you join a book club.

Maybe he doesn't like the fiction books you suggest? Ot perhaps you could read some nonfiction and you two could discuss that?

Kinda how the public has rejected most all new Hollywood stuff also the last decade. It's terrible, preachy, unimaginative, regurgitated junk.
