The societal, educational and economic consequences were completely ignored in favor of public health goals. And that is why there is a big political backlash |
Don't you know? Republicans are only pro-masking when they're making deportations. And the only "pro-shot" they are is when a gun is in-hand. |
They would never do it, but I would love to see the mortality of 18th Century vaccination and 21st Century plumbing vs 18th Century plumbing and 21st Century vaccination. If you had to pick, which group would you want to be a part of? |
It was an unprecedented public health event in our life times. People did the best they could based on the information available. No one was looking to screw you over save if you lived in a blue state and Trump denied PPE to your state. |
Are you effing serious? My parents grew up on farms, one family getting indoor plumbing much earlier than the other. But dang, both families were elated when the polio vaccine hit the market as their parents kept them sequestered at home during outbreaks. It’s not either/or. |
What does that have to do with vaccines? |
They want the rest of the country to die at the same rate as MAGAs. |
And leeches. Don't forget the leeches. |
Because if they don't get the vaccinations, the symptoms could be much, much worse than "a flu" |
Measles is happening. It is incredibly under-reported, but there should be zero cases and instead, there are thousands. |
DP...google is your friend. So is basic science. |
Tell it to the parents whose kids died of Covid. |
Anecdotes are not science. |
The vaccine isn’t required for children, just as the flu vaccine isn’t required. Each parent can decide. |
the only government mandates were for people who worked for the government and military. Please stop with the BS. If your private employer mandated it, you could have quit and gotten a different job. If your kid's school mandated it, you could homeschool. But when living in a society with other people, the public health studies and rules are there to protect, particularly the people who are older, younger or immunocompromised, in this case. |
