The benefit of not raw was the whole "it won't kill you!" thing.

Pasteurized milk: 3–17 deaths since 2000.

Go for it. Republicans want everyone to make their own decisions without oversight, so enjoy spinning that wheel of fate as you enjoy your cow milk.

They are going to have to give Darwin Awards daily.

+1 Measles and rubella are on track to become endemic in the US again. Polio will follow if this anti-vax mentality continues. The children will suffer for it.

The way cows are separated from their calfs for our milk obsession breaks my heart. That milk is for them, not for us!

Not the US soy, sprayed 100 time with toxic stuff.
East Asia soy? Sure!

I very much trust that the cow milk is much more tainted by all the antibiotics they have to give the poor cows crammed into feed lots.

We don’t have to fight each other for what we all want: safe, healthy food that’s good for the planet.

If I’m not going to drink cow’s milk becuase I’m worried about safety, do I need to stop consuming all milk products, like cheese and butter? Forgoing cheese would be very hard for my family.

True.
Also, Asians traditionally don't eat raw or powdered soy (which is unhealthy) but ferment it first.

Fermented soy is not that bad for humans. The way most westerners eat soy is harmful.

No. You don’t need to stop eating it. The press in this has been confusing but this piece by WaPo tries to clarify it some. https://www.washingtonpost.com/food/2025/04/23/fda-milk-testing-program-paused/
