The benefit of not raw was the whole "it won't kill you!" thing.

If they're getting rid of that...

Raw milk: 0–2 deaths since 2000.
Pasteurized milk: 3–17 deaths since 2000.

Now do it with deaths per 1000 people or 1000 glasses or something like that. Since the numbers of people willing to risk drinking raw milk is extremely small vs the (hundreds of ?) millions who regularly drink pasteurized milk, just reporting numbers of deaths known or assumed to be related to pasteurized vs raw milk like that is deliberately deceptive.

Thank you.

Dude. My roommate was just saying this last night. Ugh. I wished she was wrong. Thanks, OP. I don't come to DCUM to read the news. Why can't we talk about rainbows and unicorns. LOL.

Why do people think pasteurization is bad? Just insane whack a doodle nonsense. It is just gentle, slow heating, that's about it. They're not adding any chemicals or anything. America is full of morons. Give em raw milk and watch em die or get sick because they think some minor heating is bad.

Hey maybe this is how we get rid of a bunch of morons in this country. I hope they all drink raw milk and natural consequences just take care of them.

Only if you have your own cow in your backyard. Otherwise, no.

Doesn't their poop still run down the udders and get into the milk? No thanks.

Omg. Do we need to start teaching remedial statistics to all Americans?

WAY more people drink pasteurized milk. These numbers on their own mean nothing. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Proof of your ridiculous numbers? Ore relevant would be 1) how many illnesses/hospitalizations attributed to raw milk vs. pasteurized and 2) how many of the pasteurized illnesses were due to post production contamination. Frankly you are welcome to consume all the raw milk you want, I prefer mine pasteurized and tested for disease.

Sadly, without testing none of us are safe. Not sure how this meshes with Jr.’s health kick nonsense. Guess we should take up menthol cigarette smoking instead. Idiots.

Yeah I realize that. I'm just saying those who think drinking raw milk is fine and we don't need testing in the first place could take care of themselves.

Heat it up yourself.

Great time to switch to soy. It’s actually very healthy and great tasting if you buy the unsweetened version.

The way cows are separated from their calfs for our milk obsession breaks my heart. That milk is for them, not for us!

That's my argument for legalization.

Please stop. Somebody could die if they read that and think it’s true. Not a joke.

Who is so stupid that they would just believe something an anonymous person wrote on the internet?! And if they would, maybe ….?

A lot of people πŸ˜‚ are you new to the internet?
