White Pizza

Oh yum white 🤍 pizza! Wish i could find a spinach free at home frozen one. I think there is a market for it.

I love it and a fun way to serve it is with dipping cups of warm marinara.

White is cheesy bread. I’m not going to turn away cheesy bread but I would choose pizza over cheesy bread any day.

Ooh I think you’re onto something! If only there was a way to combine the two.

Great option

I love it! I don't think you can serve it as the ONLY pizza option to a crowd unless they know your feelings about it, but as one of several pizza options (including some more traditions - tomato sauce, meat. etc.) I think it's a fun choice.

FYI if you are looking for recipes Ina Garten's white pizzas with arugula are fab.

Mmm!

Got a recipe?

I haven't tried to recreate it. That's from a small pizzeria in my tiny hometown. I think if I were to make it at home I'd roast all the veggies separately along with onions so they caramelize, and top it near the end of baking to avoid sogginess, but I'm not sure about the sauce. It's garlicky but not too creamy and the ricotta is on the pizza in lumps rather than uniform.

We could call it non-white pizza.

I love it with spinach, mushrooms and gorgonzola. Try it at Frank Pepe's!

How are the potatoes incorporated?

People like it, but it can make for a lot of garlic breath. I had a coworker who wouldn’t eat it for lunch if they had no plans for the rest of the day!

I’ve seen potatoes (cooked) thinly sliced and shingled over the crust as a first layer.
