Once Dems control the WH again, will they refill all the FTEs Trump slashed?

It’s more that people if that AGE won’t be offered those jobs again. Because there were no layoffs for 30 years, most of the federal bureaucrats were old and lazy. Very easy to replace them with people who will work harder.

So far everyone I know personally who has been laid off is late 30s to early 50s. These are people in the prime of their careers. The older people who met MRA either left before Jan 20 or during the most recent rounds of VERA/VSIP.

The people getting RIF’d, falsely told they are poor performers, etc. are the ones at their peak and they are not coming back. I made the first round of cuts at my agency and am working with a foot out the door. As soon as I can find something else I’m gone and am emphatically telling younger people I know to never become a fed.

Age discrimination is illegal.

Um, with plans like this, the Democrats aren’t going to be winning any future elections.

Why can’t MAGA learn math, logical reasoning, history? It would be so patriotic, but Lutnick wants you to screw in tiny screws, so you’re intelligent enough for that job.

What is their response when they have 20+ years of reviews at the highest level of evaluation, only to be told at termination that they are a poor performer? In certain states, that would be the easiest slam dunk of a wrongful termination claim imaginable.

99.5% of our civil servants couldn't name the 10 Amendments that make up the Bill of Rights.

Do we have to wait four years for our jobs to return or are they gone for good?

This is part of the problem. The entitlement to a federal government job.

That's not entitlement. It's the reality that you are an expert that the government should want. We gave up merit for dumb dumbs.

Hahaha!

Sure it is, Grams!

Now get back to the memory care center. They’re probably worrying about you already.

Sorry, that's not entitlement. That's someone who held a job, was good at it, and was arbitrarily eliminated.
That you see it the other was IS the problem.

So? If someone is a world class expert on particle physics or immunology or art, why should they need to know anything about anything constitutional? It’s not what they do. Besides it was written by white men who owned slaves so it’s irrelevant to my generation anyway.

So civil service isn't loyal to the Constitution? It's hard to be loyal to something you are unaware of.

Something tells me you'd be the first to complain about violations of 1st, 4th and 5th Amendment rights. Those white slave owners were much smarter than you and me.

When the midterms come then I heard we will win back both houses and then everyone will get rehired.

It takes MUCH more effort to stand up programs than it does to dismantle them indiscriminately and with chaos.

Not to mention we still have a deficit that needs to be addressed which if you noticed isn’t currently being done.
