You have a high chance of being let back into the country but even a .00001% chance they could deny you entry will obviously give you pause. You should not have to worry about this.

Massachusetts-born lawyer received an email from DHS telling her that she needed to self-deport. Interesting that she's an immigration lawyer and received the notice. She even clarified on her Blue Sky that in the app that DHS used to generate the data for these notices, there was NO option to enter an email address for a lawyer, so it wasn't sent because one of her clients entered her email there.

So, yeah. What if you get one of these in error? Do you have the resources and knowledge to know how to fight it? The burden of proof is now on the person to prove their citizenship. What comes next? I don't think I would take the risk right now, honestly.

Every American should be afraid of this. Carrying your passport is not a solution. If Government can send numerous people to accost you on the street or in your home what is a passport going to do?
