Favorite grocery store and why

Sendik’s in Milwaukee. There’s nothing like it.

I hope the new Wegmans will be a great place.

+1. Same feeling for Trader Joe’s, great produce, cheeses, meats and flowers. Love the one in Falls Church, my Giant is McLean is pretty good as well.

As for happier, I think they treat their employees well and it shows in every interaction. I haven’t met a grumpy employee in Trader Joe’s.

WF delivery. We’re not rich but I don’t have the time nor interest in popping around to different stores to save a few bucks.

Moms Organic Market. I like their meats, pastas, personal care, vitamins, spices, dairy, frozen selection.

I do Wegmans except the beef.

My favorite ground beef is the organic 93/7 ground beef at Aldi. We do like Wegmans steak though.

Costco is my current favorite. With two teen boys, the portions are the size I need to keep grocery shopping to weekends only.

WF is my default. I find that no one else can beat WF for best balance of quality and price. Wegmans is comparable but WF is much closer.

Lidl. Lidl's food quality is fine and it is so much more affordable. Costco would be 2nd - mainly because the huge packages often spoil before we can finish them.

I mostly shop at Giant but I do make a monthly trip to H Mart for specialty produce and noodles.

Safeway but mostly because it's the closest store to me and I know the layout so I can find what I need quickly. I grew up going to Giant, even worked for them for awhile, so I will go there every now and then but the two closest to me have the worst parking lots.

I am kind of surprised so many said Germantown wegman. That store is so big, it is so hard to find anything. It drives me crazy.

The one time I went there I found cereal in 3 different locations. I was so confused.
