I am not from Florida but whenever we travel where there is publix, we go to Publix. In dmv, I like giant. I also like Lidl in Tenleytown.

HEB in Texas.

I miss Fairway before it went bankrupt in NYC. I loved roaming the aisles for their pickles, cheese, pasta, tea selection, and housewares.

Wegmans is ok but I find their meat pretty average and their takeout somewhat meh at times. I do like their chocolate, cheese, breads, produce.

I am from Florida and the answer will always be Publix. Around here, I like Wegman’s.

Whole Foods for produce and daily deals on meat. Wegmans for everything except for produce. Giant and Safeway can be very frustrating.

Costco, because I can stock up, for cheap

Trader Joe's, for nights I'm hosting book club

Wegmans when I'm not in a rush and also want to pick up an already made dinner that I'm just heating or pulling out of the refrigerator (although also do this at Trader Joe's)

Trader Joe’s in general. I just feel happier there and I don’t really know why. Safeway is convenient to where I live and has everything but it’s expensive. I want to like Aldi, but I can’t find the love for it that others have. I do try.

I hope the new Wegmans will be a great place.

My love for Aldi comes from it being dirt cheap. And the line moves very fast. The selection is not super great, but they do have some good finds and I enjoy perusing the little housewares/toys/etc. section too.

Some stores like Costco, Walmart or Wegmans are like destinations.
They expect people to drive from longer distances because of their mix of offerings.

Wegmans. WARM LIGHTING. It makes all the difference. I like the store layouts and the little “neighborhoods.” The store brand is excellent.

Lidl in McLean. Small, organized, clean.
