GFR Falling apart?

Now they just sent this out:

Dear Parents,
We’d like to clarify the earlier communication sent by GFR.
Jimmy, Tina, and Jesus will remain as coaches.
We understand the confusion caused and recognize the impact this may have had on families and players. We apologize for the last-minute nature of the update.
To be clear, the change involves the relationship between their employer and GFR — not the coaches themselves.
We appreciate your understanding and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
Thank you,
Mike Roth

Jimmy, Tina and Jesus will remain … means… they worked and did their job, the extra direct deposits weren’t going to them. That was Rich and Nadir for all the hard work they do 😂🤣

Joking about direct deposits or it is that what the financial oversight line was about?

Responding to the comment about YS being irrelevant due to transfer portal. Yes, college coaches would prefer a proven college player to an unproven recruit out of high school but make no mistake that most college coaches will place a call to a respected and trusted youth soccer coach before signing a transfer. NM is one of those coaches. NM probably has one of the best track-records of placing kids than anyone in DMV. As an objective observer, only CW and the coach at FCV is on the same level. Maybe you can include the VDA TD.

These actions by GFR is basically a vote for irrelevance for the club. They are basically on a path to glorified rec soccer.

Nobody knows what that was about. 2 of the 3 guys who just took over the club have been on the board for 5 or more years. All of a sudden they're concerned with the club financials?

Right. Hard to believe they wouldn’t have knowledge of the agreements that were made literally a year ago. And it seems they are letting go of the ED, TD and DOC with no plan.

Loudoun parent here and it feels like the same thing is happening to us. Feel for you.

No plan, no true leadership, just 3 dad's who have kids in the club (2 of them rec parents, not travel) who have no knowledge of how to run a soccer program.....running things. No coaching slate, no coaches for ~12 teams playing this Spring and no tryouts scheduled.

The guy pushing this is Mario and he is coaching the only team on the girls side that is not doing well in RL. Go figure!

And he's only coaching that team because his daughter is on the team, he's not coaching any other teams nor was he hired as a travel coach. He moved his SFL rec team a year or so ago thinking they were good enough for travel. The decent players left his team and play for Gus now.

OMG. I can't even imagine that scenario.
