PP, almost all of what you just wrote is pure opinion-sharing on your part. |
Sorry, I meant the "PP" who says he has a buddy who interviewed principal candidates for DCPS. |
Ewwww Trump supporter. No it’s not the ‘unions.’ If a teacher did something deplorable and came out unscathed it’s the school system and the law that let that happen. I have also heard of some teachers who said if a HS student punches them they will defend themselves. You have no idea how many of these kids hit teachers and nothing also happens to them as well. Or they hit other children and nothing happens. |
ew... a liberal white woman. |
Not a Hearst parent.
Why aren't some of you who are on the phone now with the Post? The only thing that will make all of this stop is public shaming. Why are you allowing DCPS to cover up? |
+1 |
I am not a Trump supporter. I do not believe bad teachers, people who misuse medical leave, lazy people should be protected or be able to change schools. A relative of mine who was a teacher, principal, and then superintendent (not in DMV) told me years ago a teacher physically hurt a special needs student (student did nothing), people saw and the teacher could not be fired. They have multiple stories that would get most any other person fired, but they couldn't fire the teacher allegedly because of the union. Another teacher relative, turned administrator (I have a lot of family in public education) has said similar things. This person finally left public education and their pension behind. I have heard all sorts of incidents from these family members and their friends who also work or worked in public education. Another relative who does work in DCPS basically does the very bare minimum (talks about it proudly) but made sure their children got into a top charter. Once a teacher gets tenure it can be difficult to fire. I do think teachers should be paid more especially excellent ones and I have been in debates with the above people because I personally think teachers and principals should be paid more than superintendents and the like. My family members who moved to admin posts all would have preferred to stay teaching, but could not afford to do so as they were the breadwinners of the family. |
Tell me more about teacher tenure in DCPS. |
There is no teacher tenure in DCPS. |
But does the PP know that? |
Maybe you don't know what "opinion" means? Those were "facts". |
Democrat politicians don’t care about educating our children. |
I’m surprised. I really liked her. She is so positive and approachable. When there was an issue in our grade she dealt with it quickly. She was such a breath of fresh air as opposed to the former principal. |
Huh? Frumin is the best most responsive council member. He's done so much for ward 3 schools |
Really? Like what? |
