| Arlington U17 and U19 had 24-26 players each. Rosters usually confirmed 24 hours before game time with no regard for your time, not to mention the fact that you are the (high paying!) customer. |
if you go onto the ECNL site or app you can look and see the FVU current rosters. They're large, even at U13. Pretty sure that this is what you can expect for next season. |
You know exactly why they didn't cut these kids. $$$$. What's more curious to me is why these kids are returning? Can't develop if you're not playing in games .... |
|
Just looked on the app 09, 21 players same as Arlington. 20 on VDA and NVA.
With injury and illness that’s probably fair. 23 at U13 is crazy. |

My kid is 2010. Curious also.
Arlington,NVA, VDA 19 FVU 20 I was expecting something much more drastic. |
NVA added some kids because of injuries and some kids quitting because of limited playing time. They target 18 kids and are very blunt of your chances getting into lineup if you want to be 19th+ kid. |
FVU is going to lose ECNL status. And no colleges are going to watch there games. I really wish some of these boys would come over to a RL club or MLSN2 and create a fun competitive team. But parents chasing the brand and get pissed at 2-3 wins and -20 GD |
This is horrible |
Indeed it was. The worst part about a roster of that size is that there is no continuity and the team never gels with a rotating roster of different players each and every week. We never would have committed to the team had we known the roster size in advance. |
Agree that FVU is going to lose ECNL or everyone else leaves anyway. Avoid. |
McLean Next 2 wants you! |
Was at Mclean MLS next 2 try out session, saw some really good players in 2011/2010 age group. |

Experience at FVU,
1. Roster size for younger age group is too large. 2. Cost is high and then in middle of season they asked for additional money for adding a tournament. You would think the 23rd player's fees would of covered this cost. 3 Zero feedback or player evaluation. 4. Communication overall is poor(This is being nice) 5. Coach is there because of his daddy is the director. 6. Multiple coaches listed on website but only one is there. They had a good goalie coach but he left mid season. No substitution was provided. 7. No scrimmages. This shows lack of effort. There were large gaps of play this year due to the weather and no scrimmages were offered. It was a new team and zero scrimmages were done prior to the year starting. 8. Practices are not developmental or tactical. Basically running and rondo. No video review (This is typical for most clubs but what is the point in having VEO if we are not reviewing the tape.) Bare minimum provided. Avoid FVU boys side. They will keep ECNL due to girls side and ECNL will be scared about recent team losses. You are better off going somewhere else. |

FVU doesn’t give a F%!#% about the players! |
