2011s and 2012s boys, I heard is more than half.
Who can blame them??? with 23+ kids in the roster and 5-6 of them siting around home every other weekend thinking why they didn’t get rostered, it’s not developing.

Confirmed

Double confirmed
Kids don't learn anything at this club. Practices are more running than soccer. Speed over skill.

Poor communication and vague instructions, from the email they sent out, you can tell the difference compared to other local clubs. I can't image how players get developed under those coaches.

Mclean pointed this out at the town hall as one for the reasons they left.

There is no development. Club is happy to replace players yearly, those attracted to the badge. Too bad McLean didn’t keep it vs Brave. We have been with both clubs and I’d take McLean any day over those who run FVU.

Oh, that's one of the big reasons they left. Not because the MYS parents didn't have as much power, their players were getting less playing time on FVU teams and less players were going to make next year's teams.

Really depends on age group. For older boys it was quite balanced. As an organization, McLean had MUCH better communication, coaching, and administrators. Not even close. McLean however, had poor strategic vision with their failed alliances. Now they are trying to rectify. Damage has been done to the older boys age groups unfortunately so doubt they will return to McLean. With time, McLean should get back on its feet.

TM got kicked off girls side for a reason. How is he able to have an ECNL team without ever proving himself as a coach. In Fact he’s done quite the opposite as proving himself.

It will be interesting to see how big McLean’s MLSNext 2 rosters are.

My son had been going to the 09 tryouts with this clown and he's been giving offers to last years players a few big kids. I've seen a few really technical players just get overlooked over and over again, but yet they are studs on their current teams. Shocker my son opted to stay with his current ENCL team and fight for mins as opposed to coming here. They are following the NVA playbook of big and fast, without any skills.

Roster size is primarily budget driven. Secondarily for injuries etc when the kids get older.

Roster sizes were not this large at Mclean Union and Brave prior to the merge. The first year of the merge maybe they were large so not to cut so many but they are once again keeping large rosters for next season. Has to be money driven. Sad for the players, it will be a wasted year.
