Forecast says temps will be in 40s and 50s. It's different than other post-red code day(s).

Crews could clear the snow today and be ready to open on time tomorrow. Easy.

But it will be 2 hour delay because they won’t.

It's warm enough for the snow to melt on its own.

That would be an irrational fear. It is going to be well above freezing in the morning.

But why make the employees go to work on time if you don't have to?

Just stop!

It's not ignorance to look around and notice how many days this year MCPS offices have been closed or delayed for "weather" while all non school workplaces have been open on time.

Most of those non school workplaces don't have 200+ parking lots to clear.

211 to be precise.
7 bus depots from where busses go to
13,024 stops.
County in charge of 500 square miles.

Neither bus depots nor stops need to be clean for MCPS offices to be open

They allegedly are cleaning the snow today. So yeah I don't know why there would need to be a delay tomorrow.

Freezing rain predicted in Damascus at 10 pm tonight. They will call a 2 hour delay for Thursday.

And how do the bus drivers get to their designated bus at the bus depot from their car or foot if those aren't cleared? So much is centered around providing bus service. Try to keep up. If there were more buses, there wouldn't need to be staggered bell times, but there is because they use the same busses.

MCPS offices don't need bus service to open.

Yes! And to the county--street plowed before sunrise here (a first).

Woo hoo lock these threads now! Or wait until Thurs morning when posters may want to rant about AM conditions on way to school and work.
