No school on Thursday due to ice?

Only two days were built in, and they're used up.

I guess that’s better than lots of angry hungry parents on his hands.

Can you make the call already, some have to rearrange schedules.

Knowing there is potentially going to be substantial snow next week is there any reason why they cant bring back the virtual snow day model they did apparently away with and send chrome books home Monday? Signed, New Naive MoCo Mom

If it's icy, there will 100% be a delay or closure.

And Taylor would be ensuring his tenure at MCPS is short-lived. And without McKnight's buyout.

Ice is serious. Keeping kids safe with a delay or even a closure if it doesn't melt is not negotiable.

You're an absolute clown for suggesting otherwise. You not wanting a delay isn't the metric they use to decide.

The state changed the requirements this year, such that MCPS first would have to exhaust its makeup days before being able to have a virtual snow day.

Some claimed PTSD since that's what all did end of 2019 school year and all of 2020 school year.

Idk I honestly really like him and think he has the best one we have had in the past six years since I have been in the county. I really enjoy how quick he is with his announcements instead of having to wait until the day of snow at 6am to see if we had to go to school on time, delayed or not at all. His videos are also very fun even if they’re cringy.

Do you think that they will change it?

Yes, he knows how to communicate much better than other Supers we've had. Whether he's ACTUALLY competent remains to be seen. I have high hopes after seeing him work with the Board of Education and reading the headlines of his funding proposal.
