Misdelivered cookies

Honestly, it’s not your fault you got someone’s package, it’s the deliverer.
If you hand delivered them or even texted (don’t call, that’s rude) the person and they came and got them- frankly they should not be eaten by that person.
Insomnia cookies will redeliver free cookies to them rather than chance that they were tampered with.
That being said, I hope you enjoy them! Rest assured the intended receiver will get another order.

This you should have just dropped them off.

I did try to call them and it turns out the phone number was not for the recipient s, but for the insomnia cookies place. I told them what happened and they said they'd take care of it. I don't know what that means.
The recipients email address was also on the receipt so I sent them an email to tell them that they need to call insomnia cookies to.sort this out and I will be eating the cookies.
This whole thing has just been a huge pain.

We've had packages delivered to the wrong house. Received delivery notice and some carriers post pictures of the package delivered. Technically those packages and USPS mail misdelivered should be picked up by who ever delivered it and returned to sender or redelivered.

It is a giant pain.

If I was OP I'm would have eaten them and not given it a second thought.

Well you’re a massive AHole but you know that. A normal person would not do this.

Eat the cookies. They can call the company to get a new batch.

You lost my respect, OP. You can't drive 16 minutes, you can't abide some rain, you told a random neighbor you were eating their cookies. And you think this has been a huge pain for YOU????????

I hope you just made this all up, because if this actually happened in real life, you're a very poor excuse for a human being.

The entire point of insomnia cookies is fresh cookies. It’s like a pizza delivered to the wrong house-if I’m the intended recipient I don’t want the old pizza hours or days later-I want the company to re-deliver a fresh, untampered with batch.

If the drive through hands me someone else’s food and I notice after staring to leave, and have to go inside to fix it-they aren’t ALlOWED to re-serve that food. Same concept here.

Insomnia cookies are closer to DoorDash delivery than UPS. Most of the responses don’t seem to u understand this.

We had “neighbors” walk over 3 blocks to give us our misdelivered pizza. We ate it.
