Misdelivered cookies

And I would call or text tomorrow. You could also call the company and tell them. After all that work if you don’t get any response I’d consider them yours.

This!

I think you had two good choices here:
- drive them over by the end of the day and leave with a "wrong address, I think these are yours" note
- say nothing, eat them

Now that you've said something, I would just take them over tomorrow.

...to continue, there's a decent chance they'll say "Oh, we had them re-sent, keep them!" But I feel like they would have texted you that if they'd gone to the trouble of contacting the company.

Anonymous wrote:You messed up, OP. You already texted them, so you can’t eat them. If you had never texted them, you could have eaten them. Order something from uber eats after a long week. But you can’t eat the cookies.

I agree with this

Op here. I am not driving them over. It's an 8 minute drive each way, it's raining, and I'm tired.

I did try to call them and it turns out the phone number was not for the recipient s, but for the insomnia cookies place. I told them what happened and they said they'd take care of it. I don't know what that means.
The recipients email address was also on the receipt so I sent them an email to tell them that they need to call insomnia cookies to.sort this out and I will be eating the cookies.
This whole thing has just been a huge pain.

you emailed the recipient to tell them that you will be eating their cookies? i would LOL if I received that text and think you a weirdo.

I would drive the food over. They're perishable, and the address is in your neighborhood. I can't imagine helping myself to someone else's cookies, when I know the person lives in my neighborhood. It would feel like theft.

Whoa, a whole eight minutes EACH way? And you'd have to travel there in the RAIN, while cocooned and warm in your car. Yeah, I hope multiple birds crap on your head. You are a crappy person.

OP, I will send you a new box if you didn’t get to eat this.

You sent one text, made one phone call, sent one email, and ended up with a free box of cookies. Stop being a drama queen.

You lost my respect, OP. You can't drive 16 minutes, you can't abide some rain, you told a random neighbor you were eating their cookies. And you think this has been a huge pain for YOU????????

I hope you just made this all up, because if this actually happened in real life, you're a very poor excuse for a human being.
