Here's how to report your neighbor for not clearing their sidewalk

Some of our wealthy DINK Millennials (BigLaw, PE, Tech) neighbors are the worst about this. If they can't order it from an app, they have absolutely no idea what to do.

If me/my wife with two young kids can shovel and salt, these wealthy DINKs can do it too.

Exactly!!!! The Calvert Street Bridge walkway is an ice skating rink! It's ridiculous!

Ok Karen. I think a lot of hardware stores quickly sold out of shovels, ice melt, etc when the snow was coming so maybe chill out a bit.

Sure. But I also know of people who are able-bodied and were not out of town last weekend who just let their sidewalks ice up and never did anything about them. It's not that much effort to go and make it easier for people to walk past your house. If you've got a good reason you can't do it, or you weren't in town, that's one thing. If you just didn't feel like it, I'm not going to bother reporting you, but I do think you don't care much about other people.

If this is the pejorative du jour for those who call out selfish a$$holes who present a nuisance to the general public, then what can we call those selfish a$$holes that present the nuisance?

Idiots who try to use the term to shame the civic-minded are apparently ignorant of its origins. One of the original “Karens” earned her notoriety by calling the cops on someone who was asking to leash her dog - as required by law - in Central Park.

DP. Stock up ahead of time. Get some ice melt and a shovel in the summer--it's not going to go bad. And fyi, after the first snow storm, virtually everywhere got a restock--you were just too lazy to check or take some initiative. You can't continue your grift forever, Donald.

No, keep them. Have you ever been out in a snowstorm and see who all the HOA's hire? The Latinos are much more hardworking than lazy lardass who doesn't want to clear their sidewalk.

I would never report anyone.

But I know that the few homeowners in my neighborhood who don't shovel are *mostly* the ones who are jerks year-round, with some exceptions for people who usually shovel but this time couldn't do it in time, and their sidewalks iced over, even with liberal applications of salt.

But again, it's so weird that OP is hyper aggressive about it. I bet they're also the OP of the thread about honking continually at a lane-blocker. Way too violent and punitive for my tastes.
