Oscar Nominations

Wicked however was fantastic. Also I liked Challengers and was glad it wasn’t predictable.

I loves elements of the substance and the acting, but I couldn't physically finish it because it got so grotesque. It's also interesting to have Demi Moore in this part because she very much is doing all the things humanely possible including massive amounts of surgery to look young/good/slim. It's working though!

The irony is definitely there. I think thats part of the reason why she's talked very in depth with it her own personal journey. She's kept discussions at a surface level

Brody should win best actor but I don't like him so I don't want him to win.

+1 and he already has a BA win. I'm hoping Ralph Fiennes pulls it off.

Best Picture isn’t about best picture anymore. A film has to meet “inclusion” rules in order to receive a nomination. I think the Oscar’s have jumped the shark.

It’s enough with Nicole Kidman already, actually. She plays a variation of about two themes—Rich Woman in Peril, Rich Woman with a Secret, Rich Controlling Woman.

The only times she deviated from that, she was truly great: The Hours, Rabbit Hole, and Moulin Rouge.

That's only her latest films. Variety in earlier roles like Lion, Boy Erased, To Die For, Bombshell, etc.

I've seen a Complete Unknown
and
Wicked.

Any other enjoyable movies in the bunch?

A Real Pain is a good movie. Keiran Culkin is incredible in it.

The criteria is pretty easy to fit though, I looked it up. Even a movie like Babygirl very easily qualified.

They have jumped shark for giving that awful picture with lyrics like 🎶man to woman or woman to man🎶 so much praise.

I’m Still Here is fantastic, as is Fernanda Torres’ acting.

+1 since Jean-Baptiste didn’t make it in, she’s my number 1.
