Margaret carried that movie with Demi. They even had similar screen time. The movie getting best picture and still being snubbed is sad. I thought Nicole was robbed too. I wasn't crazy about the movie but she killed it. People wanted her to do something different and when she deliveries she gets nothing.

No comment on that awful EP movie. This really wasn't a good year for the Oscars for me

Yes. I am a huge Margaret Qualley fan. Even in a small part like Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, she is memorable. She was amazing in Maid too. I am sure she will get an Oscar at some point, but it's a shame her work won't get recognized here when ita, she was as important to the movie as Demi Moore.

Wicked was ok and entertaining enough but not sure it’s Oscar material.
Conclave was great.
I am dying to see Sing Sing and Brutalist
Maria was good and I like Angelina
Babydoll looks stupid and I hate Nicole
Timothee was good and great at singing the Dylan songs
Challengers was not great -IMO

We saw The Brutalist last weekend. Be prepared for how long it is. I loved about half of it, hated about half of it - then the final scene just made the whole thing come together in this incredibly powerful way that made me rethink everything I'd been thinking and feeling about the movie. It's really stuck with me.

Still wish it had been a miniseries instead of a movie!

Really enjoyed Challengers, too. A much easier movie to enjoy. I wish it had gotten some noms.

You're going to love Sing Sing. That I feel confident saying.

Sad that Denis Villeneuve was snubbed again for best director.

I feel like they didn’t give her or Nicole Kidman a nod to help Demi. Maybe this is fair but is what it is.

I kind of think this too. Kate would've cleared Demi as well. She's Hollywood royalty and had big guns coming out supporting her screenings. I dont think i can blame Bleecker's street for Marianne snub either. Her campgian has picked up enough she got the BAFTA nomination which is huge since Sally Hawkins (another Mike leigh lead, didn't) missed. She just had an interview and said she was excited to possibly get a nom . I am very happy for Demi's win but this feels sucky.

I like Margaret too! I am trying to make sense her being snubbed but I guess there doesn't have to be a reason for it. They simply didn't like or care about it enough. I saw them as team. The movie was a vehicle for them both to shine. They only saw it as a vehicle for Demi

No one seriously thought she was going to get an Oscar nod. It’s been beyond the long-list this whole time.

It’s enough with Nicole Kidman already, actually. She plays a variation of about two themes—Rich Woman in Peril, Rich Woman with a Secret, Rich Controlling Woman.

The only times she deviated from that, she was truly great: The Hours, Rabbit Hole, and Moulin Rouge.

Anora was so great. Loved it and it should be nominated. So was Wicked.

The Substance was ok but fell apart in the end (no pun intended). I did like both Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley in it.

Challengers should’ve been nominated for best original score, I couldn’t get that song out of my head.

I’m glad Cynthia Erivo was nominated and Ariana Grande.

I’m also glad Jamie Lee Curtis was not nominated

Emilia Perez sounds horrible and I can’t believe it’s even in the running

Kind of a bummer the last showgirl and Pamela Anderson wasn’t nominated, but it was just an OK movie.

Looks like MJB was snubbed because they didn't like her character. She's not supposed to be likeable or have some redemption ending. That's every more reason why she deserved a nomination. She played Pansy flawlessly.

I am happy people across the board are wtfing these nominations because how was Edward Berger not nominated?! Guadagnino had 2 knockouts and not 1 nomination for either film?! Then Denis Villeneuve missed director?!

So she plays similar characters. She was still fantastic in babygirl and should've gotten a nomination.

I hate to be the one to say it but this is racism. She played an angry black woman and the very white academy didn't like it.

Are the Challengers posters trolls? That movie was HORRRIBLE! At best, I consider it a plane movie - fluffy but easy to half watch.

Zendaya is not a good actress.
