Such good scores were not nominated. This year Cristobal Tapia de Veer wrote the score for Babygirl AND Smile 2. Both incredible.

We saw The Brutalist last weekend. Be prepared for how long it is. I loved about half of it, hated about half of it - then the final scene just made the whole thing come together in this incredibly powerful way that made me rethink everything I'd been thinking and feeling about the movie. It's really stuck with me.

Still wish it had been a miniseries instead of a movie!

Really enjoyed Challengers, too. A much easier movie to enjoy. I wish it had gotten some noms.

You're going to love Sing Sing. That I feel confident saying.

sing sing was incredible. I feel like it got barely any attention.

it could've easily won Best Picture. This was a weak year yet many bad choices were made ugh

I thought babygirl score was incredible too. Nicole gave it her best shot. A nomination would've been amazing after her mother's death.

I hope the Substance cleans house. I don't think it is that amazing, but it would be nice to see a different genre like horror or comedy get their due and win awards.

How do they not have awards for best stunt performance yet either?

Apart from Dune 2, the best pic nominations are terrible this year. Who the hell ever heard of these movies?

Did you actually watch A Complete Unknown or Conclave? Neither of them were terrible. Can’t bring myself to sit through 3.5 hours of the brutalist at a movie theater so will wait for streaming for that one.

Every time I think of Ariana Grande I think of her saying “I hate America” and then licking a donut from a donut case in a store and putting it back so someone could accidentally eat her saliva donut. She is gross. This on top of all the spoiled actors just complaining and yuck . This is why the rating are low and so many people do not care.

Holy cow - yes I would love that to be a category.

I enjoyed The Substance so much more than I expected to - I think its over the topness made it a lot of fun and also I really felt it. MQ was terrific - she's good in everything I've seen her in. Demi was terrific, too.

I always think about that too. But I also find her hard to look at now. She looks so frail and unwell. The blond hair doesn't help.

The Substance as a topic and genre was great. But not really a great movie. It didn’t know how to end really.

Wicked however was fantastic. Also I liked Challengers and was glad it wasn’t predictable.
