And apparently we’re declaring war on Panama!

PS. Why the sudden interest in settling Mars? Do they know something we don’t know about the future of earth LOL?

I was just coming post this. I have been saying for YEARS, let's just drop genders and go with the sexes. It's the only way for sanity to prevail. There is no controversy - you are either born male or female. Full stop. (and no, genetic anomalies are rare cases, and do not count, nor should they).

The pendulum is swinging back to common sense and normalcy, and I for one am ecstatic.

Great. How does that help people struggling to pay their bills? Please be specific.

No 100% sure what your point is. This has nothing to do with grocery prices. This is a separate issue. Do you think everything he does should relate to grocery prices?

Yes, because we were told that a majority of the people that voted for him were doing so because of economic reasons. The MAGA purists may be obsessed with trans and other cultural issues, but everyone else just wants to see lower bills and more money in the bank at the end of the month.

False.

Exit polls revealed independents voted on this issue.

I know I did.

Your main issue was the gender issue? Really? Personally, I can’t think of a single political issue that has less to do with my everyday life than the gender/trans issue. But maybe that’s just me. Please link to exit polls that say the gender issue was the number one issue for all independents. I would like to see that.

Missed the global warming one. How did he end global warming?

Check outside.

Go look up the difference between global warming and climate change.

Climate change versus WEATHER.

Climate change is long term trends over decades
Weather is short term day to day

And, what we have going on is a polar vortex, which is cold air that's been displaced from the pole. And usually that issue of cold polar air being displaced happens because of unusually warm air from elsewhere, such as the pacific ocean, pushing northwards to displace it. So even though it's cold, it still has something to do with climate change.

Whatever, the earth has been warming for the last 10000 years. The entire North American continent was covered by an ice sheet that melted on its own. The is earth is going to what it’s going to do. Humans are insignificant.

OMG I hope you are being sarcastic because this is so incredibly misleading it’s shocking to see someone writing it down.
Yet you really can’t disprove it, can you ?

There’s a new sheriff in town, and nobody believes this BS climate science, it’s all about control. Drill baby Drill, (at it’s cleaner than coal.)

The trans question is a push poll. All the rest of the questions are single direct questions.

Inflation was too high.
Too many illegal immigrants crossed the boarder.
The debt rose too much.

Meanwhile the trans question was: "too focused on cultural questions like transgender rather than helping the middle class". That question is not like the others. It's literally two questions. You can append "rather than helping the middle class" to the end of any other question and affect it's polling. It's a push poll on trans issues.

I am realistic that a lot of people (including most of DCUM) will revile Trump no matter what, but I expect Trump to get at least 60% of the country behind him, maybe more, which is pretty darn good.

Sure. What's the plan for the grocery prices?

They're going up once he puts the tariffs on Canada and Mexico. Gas prices will go up, which affects everything else.

Some more "Day One" or "Immediately" promises that haven't materialized:

*Close the border on Day 1
“The border will be sealed. The invasion will be stopped.” Oct. 11, 2024 / Aurora, Colo.

*Carry out the largest mass deportation in U.S. history, starting on Day 1
“On Day 1, I will launch the largest deportation program in American history. We’re going to get the criminals out. I will rescue every city and town that has been invaded and conquered, and we will put these vicious and bloodthirsty criminals in jail, then kick them the hell out of our country as fast as possible.” Oct. 28, 2024 / New York

*First of all, we are going to end all sanctuary cities, immediately. We’re going to end them..” Oct. 15, 2024 / Cumming, Ga.

*End the war in Ukraine in “24 hours” once he is in office
“First, I’ll meet with Putin, I’ll meet with Zelensky. They both have weaknesses and they both have strengths. And within 24 hours that war will be settled. It will be over. It will be absolutely over.” May 11, 2024 / CNN town hall

But but! Didn’t he sign an EO ordering officials to lower prices? Sounds like a solid plan to me! /s

Hello, flat earther. The bolded is demonstrably false. In fact, most of the civilized world and almost all scientists believe in climate science. You are a cult member and are immune to reason.

Except that all of the billionaires and millionaires are well prepared for climate change and have other places they can go and escape plans to get out of the areas that are going to be most impacted. But you do you.

Can we keep the banter out of it, and just limit it to measurable parameters with references cited? Such as average cost of eggs, milk, gas, deportations, abortion rate, maternal death rate, stock market, etc. There are plenty of other threads to debate the ceasefire, TT, climate change. Maybe if you don’t agree with something that was posted, you can counter it with your own cited source. But beyond that, discuss on another thread? Idk, just seems like op had something more concise and fact-based in mind?

+1. Also add in exactly what he or his administration DID to affect any change. It’s important to give credit where credit is due.

+1. It was the “kitchen table” topics and those that “keep people up late night worrying.” Are ya’ll up late at night worried about what Suzy in another neighborhood wants to be called or classified as?

Let's keep this thread going and check in periodically to see how he's doing. There are a lot of Day One promises, so that should keep us busy for a while.

Yes!!! NY Times should do an update every month. They should add in promises from his first administration also. Heck every month they could pick a topic to focus on: Healthcare, Economy, Immigration, Technology, Education, Efficiency, etc. A new Status of the Union.

I think he was just showing off that he can still sign his own name. "Donald... J.... Trump." (In Klinger's voice, if you're old enough to remember)
