I'be gifted the following article from the NYT which contains the most comprehensive list I've seen of Trump's specific campaign promises, arranged by topic/area. It's too long to include in a thread, but it's really worth the read for those who have time.
Let's keep this thread going and check in periodically to see how he's doing. He already brought a ceasefire to Gaza and got some of the hostages freed, so that is a good start since he’s not even in office yet.
And ended global warming, too! What a guy. |

Climate change versus WEATHER. Climate change is long term trends over decades Weather is short term day to day And, what we have going on is a polar vortex, which is cold air that's been displaced from the pole. And usually that issue of cold polar air being displaced happens because of unusually warm air from elsewhere, such as the pacific ocean, pushing northwards to displace it. So even though it's cold, it still has something to do with climate change.

One of the best things about Trump is how he is unifying the country. Biden, to his credit, welcomed Trump this morning and said "welcome home" when Trump entered the White House.
I was at an Innaugural ball and was happy to see the diversity of people who were there celebrating the new Trump Presidency - Black, White, old, young. I am realistic that a lot of people (including most of DCUM) will revile Trump no matter what, but I expect Trump to get at least 60% of the country behind him, maybe more, which is pretty darn good. |

Love this idea, op!
Can we keep the banter out of it, and just limit it to measurable parameters with references cited? Such as average cost of eggs, milk, gas, deportations, abortion rate, maternal death rate, stock market, etc. There are plenty of other threads to debate the ceasefire, TT, climate change. Maybe if you don’t agree with something that was posted, you can counter it with your own cited source. But beyond that, discuss on another thread? Idk, just seems like op had something more concise and fact-based in mind? |

I was just coming post this. I have been saying for YEARS, let's just drop genders and go with the sexes. It's the only way for sanity to prevail. There is no controversy - you are either born male or female. Full stop. (and no, genetic anomalies are rare cases, and do not count, nor should they). The pendulum is swinging back to common sense and normalcy, and I for one am ecstatic. |
