Teacher criticizes Trump

There is a perception that the teacher does not like these boys and targets them because their political opinions are different from hers and the boys feel uncomfortable in her class now.

Yeah, those boys do sound like dolts and should be uncomfortable, that's the point. Maybe they will adjust and realize that misogynistic fools like Tate are not to be admired. Yikes!

If she is giving rebuttals that are fact-based I think it's fine. It sounds like the boys are like "I admire Hitler and my friend admires Stalin!" and then saying "I don't understand why I'm being questioned about who I like."

Andrew Tate is a sex trafficker who said that a man who has with with his own wife is gay.

It is an excellent opportunity for your DC to support their case persuasively and politely. It's no different than a debate. If he can't do that then he wasn't prepared. It's high school, they should be challenged.

I think is it ethical to state facts like Trump is a rapist, or Trump is a felon, or Trump sexually assaults women, or Trump created a fake university and has to pay millions in fines, or Trump has declared bankruptcy many times, or Trump incited a riot on 1/6 that cause injury and death to many people.

No, because that's giving the troll what he wants. What teacher should do is read the papers and not share toxic ones with the class, and refer the trolls to the principal to decide what to do with them.

And the teacher should stop making an assignment to glorify celebrities. People should not be worshipped. People are complicated and do good things and bad things.

Focus on the class, not the disruptors.

If this story is true, despite having all the signs of a detailed drip-dripping troll, this isn't the first time these two kids have pulled a stunt like this in class. Teacher should stop enabling them.

It is 9th grade English class, not social studies. The kids were doing some kind of exercise where they had to explain why they admired somebody. The student in question chose Trump. The teacher started questioning him after he delivered his speech, asking how he could admire a person who XYZ and 123.

What were XYZ and 123?

Facts matter.

Sounds like a pointed question, not an opinion.

Yeah my friend's daughter had some boys yell "Your body my choice" at her at school. These Tate boys need to learn that their views will keep them single and lonely.

If XYZ and 123 were facts that is fine.

It's like writing a persuasive speech to get rid of public schools and the teacher states well what about XYZ?

If you can't see that you are tribal.

Only if she gives similar rebuttals to other students, and isn't selectively targeting certain people.

Einstein abused his wife.

So did Trump

That teacher needs to be fired and escorted off school grounds.

I don't think it's unprofessional at all if the teacher is making an argument or talking about a fact. Sure, they shouldn't say "he's an idiot" even though that is a fact, but I have no problem with this. I'd also have no problem if they made intelligent criticisms of any dem president too. Stop being so sensitive.

How is it either of those things?

They are a TEACHER. They are SUPPOSED to teach children these things.

Reading, writing, math, social studies, yes. Their political views, no.

No? Then your tender child can handle not knowung that not everyone agrees with them.

Would you say the same re: a kid who wrote an essay on transgenderism? Could the teacher confront them with opposing views?

It should be the same answer.
