OP here. Just because I personally don’t approve of my daughter’s choices doesn’t mean you have any right to say things that are misogynistic. F you, buddy! (And by the way: my daughter does not have a husband and isn’t interested in a “real man”; she is an out and proud lesbian).

What is troll about not liking you're Childs tattoo

+1. You can be silly without being a troll.

I did the same thing and my mom had the same reaction. You'll live. She may or may not regret it later, but she isn't doomed to some horrible life. I designed DH's tattoo and my DD is an apprentice artist at a tattoo shop near her campus.

Are you sock-puppeting too, OP?

Count yourself fortunate if that is the worst thing she has done.

Time catches up with us. If she's not heavy now, she likely will be in the near future, lol.

The tattoo is making more sense now. Too bad she chose a hippo, as a pp pointed out.

The first week of her freshman year of college, my DD got a tattoo — of a line of advice I wrote to her in a letter I gave her when I dropped her off at school. Since then, she’s gotten three more. She’s an adult and it’s her body. I have no interest in getting one for myself, but I have no problem with her getting them.

Two people saying you are a troll is “vitriol” that is “beyond the pale”? This is the mildest of responses. Are you new here?

What’s the advice? It’s kind of amazing she valued your wisdom so much that she got a tattoo of it.

If this is the biggest disappointment, then you’ve done very well raising her. I don’t say that snarkily, I mean it nicely.

From the title of this thread I expected to find that your daughter had been driving drunk or some other awful crime. OP, you seem highly reactive and very unrealistic about the relationship of a 25 year old adult to their parent. You need to consider whether you want to be included in her life. If so, you’re going to need to let go of this level of judgement.

You really need to lean into the spirit of MYOB.

Team troll here. Your alleged reaction is
so grossly disproportional that I don't believe you're telling the truth.

OP you sound like a peach with absolutely no sense of humor or ability to read a room. No wonder your spawn got a tramp stamp. She’s running as far away from you as she can you miserable shrew
