Spoken like someone who has NO idea what the rules, expectations, and ethics are for government employees.

When my husband was a fed, he had a position that gave him a government car to use for the entire term of a particular job. He told them to take it back, he didn’t want it, that all it could do was get him into trouble - because it comes with so many rules, it’s more trouble than it’s worth.

Really? Then tell me this. Are all the justices unethical, or only the conservative ones?

Only the ones who’ve accepted gifts and bribes or behaved unethically, obviously.

Yes, and in your opinion, which justice(s) are those?

Look Thomas put the word out that he was feeling poor and might retire and a bunch of right wing activists recruited plutocrats to shovel money at him and his family so he could live well beyond his means while keeping his seat on the Supreme Court and voting with the right wing bloc.

There is just nothing like that in the history of the court or the country.

That’s what I thought. Thanks for at least being honest.

Of course this poster will reply “only the conservative ones”.

Yes I am an honest federal employee unlike Thomas.

I mean if you want debate other examples—- on both sides of the aisle— we can, or if you want to argue that there is precedent for what Thomas has done in having his entire lifestyle subsidized by right wing plutocrats we can debate that.

I don’t think justices of any party should accept big gifts or big book advances but those are an order of magnitude different from Thomas

Lists out a whole litany of gifts, forgiven loans, refusal to recuse and on and on. Our SCOTUS is corrupt and unaccountable.

Yes or no question: has Clarence Thomas known and been friends with Harlan Crowe for decades, long before Thomas was a Justice or Crowe was a billionaire?

Yes or No?

So is ANYONE gonna answer this?

It’s a simple answer. Can be turned up in seconds with a simple google search. No one’s gonna take a run at it?

Thomas met and was befriended by Crowe after Thomas became a SC justice

You are a sick racist who can’t stand to see an educated successful Black man flying on private jets and living the good life. Crawl back under your rock please.

You gotta be kidding me. You are doing what white people accuse progressives of - lowering standards for the black person. Thomas is corrupt. He just is. He shouldn't get a pass because he is black. Aren't you against this? As a black woman who has to work 10 times harder and certainly not commit a crime, I do not support his behavior. As a lawyer, I would get disbarred for what he is doing. Roberts (illegal adoption of Irish Children

Kavanaugh (who paid off his $200,000 credit card debt. Republicans refused his FBI report as evidence and other refused to allow other women to testify about Kavanaugh)

Thomas and Alito: expensive vacations, etc.

Gorsuch: the apple didn't fall far from his corrupt mother.

You're correct. They are all conservatives!

They aren't interested in a real debate, PP. Typical GOP/MAGA/conservative baseless innuendo or projection to try and deflect. I'm sick of these apologists for Trump, corrupt justices, and batshit Congresspeople.
