Senate report blasts SCOTUS for serious, longstanding ethics abuses

Lists out a whole litany of gifts, forgiven loans, refusal to recuse and on and on. Our SCOTUS is corrupt and unaccountable.

SCOTUS has sovereign immunity. The only way to remove one of the justices is by impeachment.
Thomas or any other conservative justices could shoot a person on K street in front of a 100 witnesses and no law enforcement could touch him.

We need to start impeaching. We need a reset and a return to ethics. Maybe that should be a ballot questionnaire for House or Senate - do you think corrupt members of the Supreme Court should be impeached? If "no" then primary them.

There is absolutely nothing that can be done. The justices should just put out sign with how much a no or yes vote cost.

If Trump wanted to amend the constitution he could do it by executive order. SCOTUS rules it constitutional and it is the law of the land.

Yes or no question: has Clarence Thomas known and been friends with Harlan Crowe for decades, long before Thomas was a Justice or Crowe was a billionaire?

The whole thing is a poop show. Trump says he wants to drain the swamp but he and his cronies are as much a part of the swamp as the rest and will expand the swamp.

That is a very good way to lose control of the house or senate.

Do you think Sotomayor would have voted in favor of SFFA if these schools hadn't help push her book?
Do you think Thomas would have voted to protect abortion rights if Harlan Crow hadn't given him a bunch of free vacations?

Nobody was selling their vote but people were giving undisclosed support to people that were already inclined to vote their way.

Thomas should absolutely step down if only they can find a soft place for him to land.

Sotomayor should have stepped down 4 years ago, now there is no guarantee she will make it long enough to see another democratic president.

It is still the most trustworthy branch of government and it is weird to see the corrupt executive and legislative branches pointing fingers at them.

Never in the history of America has the Supreme Court lost as much credibility as it has under the Roberts Court. From Citizens United onward, it's clear that this Court serves at the whims of the billionaire class. Thomas doesn't even hide it anymore.
