I am personally so over this. It's been time to move on for 15 years.

Here's a deep dive into the DNA for anyone interested.

Not one bit of an evidence there was an intruder.

That's already been proven. Most handwriting analysis agreed that was Patsy's writing in the so called ransom note.

It was never “proven” the most they can say is “highly likely”. But, test the DNA. Specifically the DNA under JBRs fingernails. Curiously nobody in the family had scratches.

How will this look? How did we, a perfect family not notice our own child go missing in the night? Police will think we did something. Let's write a note so they take her missing seriously AND don't blame us and move on to find her. Is it rational? Not at all. But it's possible. Also telling the note was left at the bottom of their inner staircase. She wanted to create the impression she found the note upon waking and before looking for JonBenet. Why else leave the note at the bottom of these stairs and not in the kitchen or other stairs? Once the story explodes and body is found, it's simply impossible to backtrack on the note.

No, I don’t think this is plausible at all.

+1 The only plausible context for the note is desperate cover-up by Patsy.

Let's say she did kill her. Why write a note contradicting what you know happened? The story of an intruder is easier. Had she not written a note, told John to search the house to find the body and then they called 911, it would have been very clear for the police an intruder did it and not Patsy. The note made her look MORE suspicious.

She wasn't thinking clearly, obviously. No-one would be rational in that situation. And I don't think she killed JB, I think Burke did, whether accidentally or not.

I am half with you on this: I think she did write it. I don't think Burke did it. Maybe she did think he did it and wrote the note thinking he did it.

That makes zero sense.

I don’t understand why everyone thinks John found the body on purpose if he put the body there. That doesn’t make sense to me. If he killed her and put her body there and worked with Patsy to make it look like a kidnapping, it seems like he’d be thrilled that no one found the body for a while and kept thinking it was a kidnapping. You’d think he’d be the last person to want anyone to discover the body. It’s never made sense to me that people think him finding her is suspicious.

Did they test the DNA of John’s work associates? Anyone who would have known that he got an $118,000 bonus?

If Burke did it, by hitting her over the head, why not stage a scene where she fell down the stairs? It makes no sense that the family would cover it up by making it so much worse. Make it look like an accident.

Literally none of it makes any sense.

There is no way Burke did it. He was a little kid!

The police were total morons in this case. It's their fault John found the body, and then they had the nerve to treat him and Patsy like shit, and be upset they were not collaborating perfectly.

And when it became obvious they were the suspects they hired a lawyer and the police were further convinced that it must be because they did it. Total morons. The police dug their heels in and made sure to move no further in the case.
