The stadium seats 110k. Bathrooms get nasty by halftime if not before!

FYI last year my EA out of state kid didn’t hear til around Dec 12-14. history major
After the high stat kids, decisions came out in weekly batches.That was the vibe based on all the parent forums. There was also a very high volume last year.

What would be considered high stat for Penn State?

Can't afford to attend without merit or need based grants, so may be a moot point. Hoping College Park comes through with an acceptance. Wish College Park would do rolling so we didn't feel compelled to take up spots at other schools. Oh well.

Did your kid get an email about applying to the honor's college and, if so, did they apply?

I actually don’t know anything about the honors college. Not sure re email. Would love to hear more details

Honestly, not sure since my kid was not a high stat kid but guessing highest of high. than 1550 and 4.7 higher GPA. Etc. it’s all anecdotal. Last year, it seem to be a trickle of acceptances in Oct and early Nov and then high volumes of acceptance starting to come out in batches with no rhyme or reason to major

My kid applied for Shreyer within the Common App.

It’s worth doing but just heads up there are several short essay prompts

My kid has a 3.6 weighted; no AP courses or sports.

Submitted a 1270 against my advice and declined doing the Summer program. Was rejected for State College but accepted to 2+2 at Altoona.

Would going TO and signing up for the Summer program have made a difference in getting into main campus?
