Nevermind. That solved the layout/GUI issue, but kids' accounts are not linked, and old links to their current courses result in access denied errors. |
Which non-awful platform should he switch to? Should MCPS pay to develop a custom platform? Like they did with Curriculum 2.0? |
My kids had Google classroom and PowerSchool in their school before McpS. I never gave it much thought because it actually worked. it didn’t require my time to troubleshoot and figure out why it wasn’t working on a given day. |

Double check all your kids grades. Capture your kids' grades from time to time or request a FERPA.
MCPS has been caught on more than one occasion tampering with grades of record in the computer system. |

Yep. Canvas has been down all day for me. All of my courses are wiped out at the moment. I cant grade and students can’t do any work.

Please Note: There is a system-wide Canvas and Synergy issue. MCPS is working on the solution. The official message is: "We have identified the issue and we are working with our vendor partners to move sections back to their original course tiles. Please note that no course data was lost or deleted, new courses were provisioned and the sections were moved to the new courses. As the sections are returned to the courses originally in use by staff, assignments and scores will be restored for the classes. We will provide another update once we have a status on the restoration of sections and courses. Thanks for your patience. |
