Only Harris/Walz signs, so how did trump win?

Anonymous
I actually saw quite a few Trump signs in Fairfax. My neighbors however tore down their harris signs this morning.

I did see a big pickup yesterday with large trump flags and a Trump billboard.

Conservatives tend not to be drama queens. They don't need to advertise their feelings. That's more for women and gays.

Maybe you should get out of your elitist blue bubble on the coast and around the DMV.

People are so pissed off about inflation. Meanwhile, Democrats spend inordinate amounts of times about trans in women's sports. They also impose things like sanctuary cities and have open borders that are allowing mass illegal immigration in. People are sick and tired of alllll of the BS DEI 'training' at work that is doing nothing more than supporting an asinine cottage industry to tell other people they're oppressors or are oppressed. And democrats are ruining schools by the day. They are removing all standards for education and discipline out of a completely misguided attempt at 'equity'.

Locally, Democrats' insistence on allowing in mas illegal immigration has real consequences. Taxes have gone up because schools are now trained. There are two high profile murders of women that happened in MD due to undocumented migrants being allowed in who had know criminal histories. The number of undocumented migrants in the area is also making car insurance rates EXPLODE because they're often uninsured. Also, I haaaaaaaste this bullschitt now with all of these unlicensed mopeds everywhere going all over the streets and roads as they wish, as if the US is a 3rd world country. There are so many of them being ridden by undocumented migrants who are doing things like working for food apps or who are simply riding them around like they are back home in Central America.

Are or are we not a nation of laws. Increasingly, the Dems seem to think we are the latter.

Get out of your blue neighborhood around here and open up your ears and listen instead of immediately shutting down and ignoring if you want to actually win elections going forward.

Exactly. I don't need to wave flags, wear branded tshirts or hats, but I'll vote red every time. Doing that invites a scolding from busybody liberal women who can't keep her thoughts to herself. Trump supporters in NoVa have had their yard signs defaced or stolen, cars vandalized, etc. Why invite crazy into your world?

Not definitively in Virginia - 51/46.

Out of touch. College age nieces all voted for Trump (Wisconsin / Pennsylvania / Colorado). And they do not consider themselves conservative.

I live in Falls Church and more of my neighbors have Trump signs than Harris. Also in McLean where I work. I knew Trump would win bc in 2016/2020 there were so few signs in this area and now there are more than Harris.

11:55, that was good. I'm a Democrat, but I grew up in a different part of the country, and what you describe is what I hear from many hometown acquaintances.

Umm, as compared to 2020, Trump gained 10pts with 18-29 year olds (to 46%) and 4pts with 30-44 year olds (to 47%). Despite being older and grosser than he’s ever been while running against a cool, multiracial “brat” who hung out with T Swift and CHD the entire campaign.

The ONLY age group with whom he lost support were those over 65 (albeit by 1%).

So… if it makes you feel better to tell yourself fictional tales about what’s going on out there, sure. You’re far from alone in that. But this steadfast refusal to acknowledge that more than half the country, all ages, resents the hell out of the D party right now is a major part of the problem.

You may not want to know that Trump won most of the under-30 voting crowd.

Yep. The party of tolerance is calling us uneducated idiots.

+1 yep. Kept my mouth shut and pretended I was voting for Kamala so my friends wouldn’t cancel me.

I am talking not just about here in Fairfax; I have friends in Silver Spring, and even in Baltimore.

Virtually no trump signs at all. Like, none.

How is this possible?

Easy. Blue, blue, and more blue. Do you have friends in other areas?

You live in a bubble, like all the others around here who believed the mainstream media, the WaPost, etc. echo chamber.
Turns out that X was a far more accurate assessment of the voter pulse and projections.

Have you seen the maps? DC is super blue. So is NOVA. Maryland might be #3 blue in the country.
I am an R, who did not vote Trump and was also very surprised by the outcome. However, given all the anti-R rhetoric in this area, I did not even feel comfortable with a Hogan yard sign (3 votes in my household for him, sorry he lost)

Or just counting votes in general, since we see he super out performed on the popular vote too.

No, they just have watched that pink sweater lady video, lived it themselves, and want no part of that liberal nonsense. So yes, in private to spare themselves the attacks from the unhinged.
