no, they say about a million times "we do not admit by major"

I know, but they have to look at them and have some bias. They do make sure your classes line up w major.

Same. But with DD's SAT scores she knows best case scenario she gets deferred. But likely rejected.

What's her score and other stats?

Last year my DD friend got in uga with top grades, rigor, leadership, EC, but a 19 ACT. Deferred EA and admitted RD

My point- test score won’t kill you if everything else is near perfect. But a few Bs and a low test score will.

Why did the SAT scores jump so much? I looked at the CDS from last year and 1410 was the 75%. Now it's 1510! That's a serious increase.

I don't understand your comment. Is there a CDS for the 2024/25 class?

Where is 1510 mentioned anywhere?

CDS is students who enrolled.
Graves stats are students they accepted.
Big difference bc ofc uga will extend offers to kids who used it as a safety and end up at ivies…

The 1510 is only for the in-state early action admits that were already announced. It does not include all the kids who will be admitted EA from out of state and then all the admits that will come through in RD.

Will out of state be even higher for EA?

LOL, judging by the (in-state) annual admits from our K-12, it'll go down once RD is announced.

So do we expect OOS to be even higher b/c there are so many more applicants for fewer spots or lower b/c people underestimate the states needed for UGA for 2025?

Yes, of course. More applicants for fewer spots = higher bar.

They just don't want a ton of transfers into harder admit majors sophomore year.

Do you have a cite for this?

What is his UGA gpa or gpa in general?
